Default Do you ever cry unexpectedly and...

do you find yourself unable to cry when you know you need to?

I was walking to the bus on my way to work Friday in a great mood, it was a beautiful day and I was smiling to myself....until I saw a little orange and white kitten cowering near a big gray cat in a fenced yard, and before I even realized it...tears were trickling down my face and my eyes are welling up with tears again...

Now the reason I posted that here is because I was told it was a Menopausal thing, but I'm wondering if any of you experience anything like that? Everything these days is blamed on Menopause if you're over forty or fifty...
How do you think you would react if you saw the same situation?
I did stop and tell the big cat to get lost, and she/he didn't attack the little one at least I didn't see it happen...it was seeing that little kitten helpless in the corner by the fence...
My head told me it's "Nature's Way" but my heart cried...

It does happen to me also, and I'm 25. The thing is, I'm overemotional when I'm very stressed or under a lot of pressure. I remember one time I bursted out crying because of a scene - I was watching a dvd with my sister and she wasn't even shocked by that scene. Called me "crazy" for it too.

I guess it depends on how often this type of thing occurs to your and when.

Thank you, Twinkle, I needed to have another reason than blaming "good ole Menopause". I gave your answer a lot of thought, and I have been under certain stress for the last couple of months, and just about all of last year, and haven't been able to cry it out and I totally believe in crying just as much as I do in laughing...I guess it is now catching up with me...

Brilliant excuse, if it were not for the fact that I am a man, .

I can cry at the strangest of things, almost randomly. TV documentaries about chess could even have that effect on me, at times.

Cats normally don't kill each other, so it was probably some infringement of territory (or some horny cat?). Still I would not have liked the situation, and I would have done something.

Do you offer the pleasure to other people, to let them laugh because of it?

Sometimes, it's usually when I'm way overtired or just can't take anymore stress.

People laugh at me regardless of what I'm doing, they don't need just one specific event :?

I never know Luba. Sometimes I can cry at the silliest thing...and not at all at the things of more magnitude. It just depends.

Phase 2 of the grieving process.
Next up:
Bargaining (for a better wage)
Depression (you are not getting the better wage)
Acceptance (you will probably get out)

I'm already at Phase 4: working toward getting the h3ll out of there.
