Default Burping and Farting

Is this something that becomes more common with age or have you always been a pig?

OMG Duke!! yourposts just keep getting better and better! LMAO!!

"tootting and burping" is natural. Babies and kids all do that a LOT so I guess it's something that humans do all their lives.

It's actually unhealthy to hold in your gas. Let 'er rip to stay healthy! LMAO!!

Thanks star, I was actually beginning to wonder if anyone would ever answer this post.

You can't tell me that no one here has gas?

Everyone has gas. since we're on the subject of passing the gas, tell me duke, how long does it take you before you actually "make a noisy" in front of a girlfriend?

make a noisy. isn't that the cutest way you've ever heard a fart being said? my little niece, who is 4 and autistic came up with that all by herself. Everytime she farts, she says.."I made a noisy!" I think it's cute!

I hate the kind you get after eating chili.....and it just kinda put-put's out without warning while you are walking. It happened to me in the grocery store and Jackson was laughing so hard he had to find a bench up front to sit down on.

It does seem to get worse as you get older, when I was a kid I was disgusted by how my father would have his regular morning ripper contest because I was never all that gassy, but as you get older you start to realize it just starts to get worse. I've always been one to be discreet but the occasional girl I've dated has been just as loud and leaky as any guy friend I've had so the whole thing doesn't really bother me anymore.

Now burping on the other hand, I admit I'm a bit of stickler about. I've always been able to control burping and at the very least keep it at a level where it's barely audible so I get annoyed when people just let it rip right there in front of me. But what really pisses me off is when there's no "excuse me" immediately after, I've often said to friends "What do you say?" when they do that, I'll often get a sheepish "excuse me" but they've come to do it as a reflex around me now which is in thier best interest. I just think it's rude, a little bit of etiquette never hurt anyone and it's definetly a lost art that I do appreciate.

So...is your opinion that farting is more socially acceptable than burping?

I knew that was coming! I think it can't be helped as much as burping. It's audible and in your face (ok farts can be too, but I just don't want to know about the in your face part) but it's just rude to let out a belch and not at least make it known that you have a shred of decency and respect for yourself and others. Just my opinon of course.

On the first date I let 'er rip in the car and leave all the windows up. I like to eat a lot of cabbage a few hours before the date for added effect.
