In the past I posted that thread about me having a crush/obsession over that girl I knew in highschool. Let me ask something, is it that common to get confused as to whether you actually like someone or its your hormones raging? I've had people tell me I was just wanting in her pants but not realizing it....... I didn't think that was true, but maybe it was. What am I supposed to do when I finally get my first girlfriend? Also, is there anything ok about getting with someone just for "physical needs"? All I'm getting at is, down the road I don't want to turn into one of these sex-crazed young people... or is that what I'll be and can't help it? I know it's normal for a young guy I guess, but all this dirty crap just buzzes through my head like mad sometimes. It's this view that intimacy will weaken me, make me dependant on it, and lower me to a level of filth I don't wanna hit.

Well...Could be you just wanted to get in her pants...But you could have liked her too. Only you really know that. Took a good 6 months before me and my first girlfriend had sex (both our first time). Then we were at it like rabbits after though.

As for just the physical needs part...well on top of the fist full of keys connecting to my face this weekend, I also got my 26th and 27th notch on my belt. I am not dating anyone, seeing anyone or have a girlfriend. Ain't nothing wrong with that - as long as you are safe.

All guys want sex. Some want it more than others, but all guys want sex. It's normal...unless you are a catholic priest

26th and 27th? there is nothing wrong with liking somebody and wanting to get in their pants...i do everyday, not that I have, but thats not my choice.

I guess you're right, as long as your safe, it's ok... I'm just ashamed to admit that sex is on my mind and I do want it. Plus, don't girls look down on guys that are in it for just that? I would feel better knowing that it wouldn't make me any lesser of a person.

Link, I was too at your age. Don't worry about it. As for the girls looking down on that? Girls are just like guys, I think even worse actually, but I have no proof. Either way, if you like a girl, go for it. If you just want to get her to get in her pants...go for it, but I wouldn't be telling her that. Might get you slapped.

One night stands are the byproduct of two people wanting sexual intimacy with no strings attached. I don't think it makes you a bad person so long as you don't have one night stands every night the rest of your life. It's also a good idea to stick with the same species for obvious reasons. ;-)

Its also very common to have a purely physical attraction to someone so I wouldn't sweat it.

girls do want it more, at least the ones that are my friends, and they admit to it, my best friend she cant go more then a week. I am under the impression that its easier for girls to get it, i mean if a gil walks up to a guy and says i want a one night stand, the guy is prolly gonna say yes, but the opposite isnt true. how old are you link? im just wondering cause you said it was a girl you knew in HS.

One of my best friends, Colin, never dated through highschool. Never had a girlfriend, nothing. I don't think he had a girlfriend or even kissed a girl until he was almost 21.

He was always wound up and ready to explode over anything. So much pent up anger and all that jazz. Always joking about girls and making sexual comments and stuff.

Then one day he just sat there, calm and relaxed. At first we thought there was something wrong with him, then we realized he got laid. It was just sexual frustration! It was really funny. Now he's different. He isn't a crazy sex freak, though he does get his fair share. He's just mellow now, until he starts drinking and then it's party time, but yeah. I don't remember where I was going with this so I'll just stop now.

i know, ill use protection, i mean i dont think ill be having sex anytime soon(no prospects, i dont go anywhere to meet girls) so its not a high risk. Even when i do, ill prolly just end up in a relationship.
