Weight Loss

Okay. Since I stopped working in July of last year plus hybernating in here during the winter, I've gained 15 lbs!! YIKES!! I'm wearing my "fat" pants that used to fall off of me now and I'm panicking. I need to lose these 15 lbs quickly. any suggestions? I'd like to lose this in a couple of weeks. I can maintain it after that. Help?!? :?

Play whatever sports you like and cut back on the bad calories coming into your body. It's really as simple as adjusting what your body needs for calorie intake (by adding excercise) and lowering or even maintaining your daily calorie intake.

I think losing weight has got to be the hardest thing in the world to do. It's so difficult to count every CRUMB which goes into your mouth. Perhaps we should do a puter search for some support/info sites. I know Isis and I would find it very helpful!!! We may have a couple of other members on diets too.

Good front page article topic.....dieting. And if we get the response from the membership.....not a bad idea for a daily thread up-date to support one another and to share tips.

It's not really a matter of counting your calories, I can't believe how many people waste their time on that. You simply have to raise your metabolism and make your muscles lose mass after your fat storages do. In other words, exercise.

If you're putting on weight, try and eat a large breakfast, sensible lunch and keep dinner small if possible. If you have to snack, do so on apples, celery, carrots, etc., these are all low to no calorie foods as they take more energy to digest than what they put into your body.

I used to have that same problem. I couldn't put on a pound up until the age of 30.

I can't believe this extra weight I've gained. I feel like a cow! I have workout videos and weights but I HATE excersice. I'll walk but that's about as far as I'll go with that. I'd love to join a gym with a friend but none of them want to. I think if I joined a gym with a "buddy" then excersicing might be fun.

My husband never needed to excersice. He's naturally build toned with muscles. People think he lifts weights all the time and he doesn't. he never has. I guess working like he does keeps in shape.

I really don't eat that much. I eat breakfast and supper and that's about it. I don't snack nearly as much as I used to. Most days I don't snack at all.

I hardly eat chips or junk food. I do eat sunflower seeds though. They might be the problem. I don't drink pop anymore either. I'm always cleaning or doing something.

Now that the weather is nicer, I'll go for walks everyday with the baby. I'll strollersice! LOL!

The only way I've ever lost weight fast is by getting diet pills from the doctor. I don't even know if doctors prescribe them in Canada. I have a friend who ordered some online....I'll check to see if she ever got them.

Doctors prescribe them here too. My doctor wouldn't be too quick to give them to me though since i'm not overly overweight. I can get some over the counter here but those things scare me.

Try walking around naked, that usually makes me want to lose the weight, either that or stop buying light bulbs.

Or it makes you want to break the mirrors and injure your neck so you cannot look down.
