This site rates how fast your computer connection. It also has a great visual graph showing your download and upload speed.
Mine was only rated a 47%..LOL!
BTW: It does a quick Java test....so be ready for that. Might not be a bad idea to bookmark this site....so you can complain to your ISP service or know when it's time to get another one.

Maybe, much like my service, it just depends on the time of day and usage as to how good it is. We have a storm blowing in....so mine is down to creepy crawler speed.

It was the middle of the fricking day and I tried all 3 tests inside of a 5 minute window. I just think my ISP has their heads up their arses.

Well their certainly living up to their name.
I think it's best to try the test 3 times then pick the averrage result, especially if your on cable or dial up. DSL tends to be more stable but cable fluctuates, sometimes it fluctuates to the extreme.
