I'm sure you know what snow is but you're really missing out if you've never seen it. It really makes the landscape seem like a whole other world and it means that nightime is never truly dark because of all the white lying around. You can usually do almost anything in it and not get too hurt.
I love snow, I wish we got more of it.

I don't think I could handle it honestly I have never been cold or ever dealt with weather below 65 degrees...
I would like to see it quickly for Christmas one year, It looks beautiful for the holidays.

You dress up under so many layers that you only feel the cold on your cheeks.
If you're in an area (other than the West Coast) then it's likely the snow is dry as is the air. It's a wonderful brisk feeling that you would enjoy I'm sure.

:marshmellowdance: Okie Dokie...
I lived in Oklahoma for a couple of years where it snowed and I thought it was wonderful. It also snowed in North Florida in 1989...the year my daughter was born. It closed down the whole portion of the state for a week at Christmas. Interstates closed....people with no electric....it was a mess. STILL....it was very pretty and fascinating to everyone who had never seen it before.
If I have the money this year...I do plan to take my kids to go see what it looks like.

I actually got a compound fracture on my right arm and a plate screwed to the bone in a skiing accident so nevermind what I said about not getting hurt.

Hey...you know that link I posted earlier in this thread on the 360degree houses for sale you can check out on the net? Well....I found a couple of cool ones in Saskatoon.. I have NO IDEA where that is on the face of this earth....somewhere in Canada....but what a COOL name for a town!!!!
The houses are a little smaller than the size around here but the basement thing makes up for it. (I've never had a basement...I think they are so interesting!) Why are they so cheap? I found a cute little farm house with 10 acres for like $79,000!!!!!!! That's incredible!

Saskatoon is in Saskatchewan which is the heart of Canada (kind of in the middle). I'm not sure what the stats are but I bet it's got close to the lowest population for a province of it's size in Canada (could be wrong). I'll look it up when I get home tonite.

It didn't look mountainous or hilly....so it couldn't be too far west. I would imagine some places, just like in the USA, are cheaper to purchase due to a low employment opportunity factor. Once the 'family farm' concept was no longer financially lucrative....there was nothing to do but move elsewhere.
I won't have to work....so I don't care if I'm snowed in - in a cool place! My only concern is seeing those 1960 TV antennas.....leading me to believe cable isn't a going thing in the area. ARRGG...what would you do for an internet connection?????
I know we don't have the political thread started.....but IF the wrong person gets elected....I've vowed to leave the USA...either to Canada or Mexico.

If you live in Saskatchewan then I'd get a satellite for sure. It's extremely flat, so flat in fact that were it not for the curvature of the Earth and pollution, you'd be able to look out your window and see China.
