Where's the floor????
Why do teens leave their clothes and shoes laying all over the floor? One would think they could at least make a PILE in the corner. I just went to my son's room to turn off the TV and it looked like a small war had went on in there. No wonder he doesn't vacuum...the boy has NO VISIBLE FLOOR SPACE! :?

During the week, my room is not well ranged either, no matter how hard I try. I have a chair where I put all my clothes and a thing (don't know the word in English) for the dirty ones. But I always have a hard time deciding what to wear, so there my poor chair is always full - I decide in the morning what to wear of course.
Add the make up, the books, the note books, the files from work, the drafts, the print, the white paper and the fact that I do not have a bureau.... it's hard to keep the place tidy.
But I just bought a new vacuum cleaner and I use it every 2 days - I hope I'll get over it soon ,LOL.

You two should be ashamed!!! LOL! I don't have ANY clothes laying on the floor in my bedrooom, bathroom or walk in closet. How would you find something if you wanted to wear it?
GOOD DEAL about the vacuum Twinkles!!! Every person with a home of their own needs a good vacuum. There is nothing nicer than a freshly vacuumed floor.

I don't mean to be disagreeable, but I could think of a few things nicer than a freshly vacuumed floor. I vacuum twice a month whether it needs it or not. I have a big round basket for dirty clothes that I can hit from anywhere in the room. Still things seem to end up on the floor, books, marbles (so that's where I lost my marbles), pens, paper. But I promise to pick them all up as soon as I get home Merika.

Funny thing is that one day your kids will be grown and away from the house and you'll actually miss the mess.

I don't know Duke. I think it would be wonderful to wake up to a clean house everyday.

I know it sounds stupid... but maybe I should buy a special stuf for the dirty clothes in my room?
To my defense, I don't have a basket or the place to keep it in the bathroom. That's why I keep my dirty things in my room.
Well done, Merika, another thing on my buying list :umya: LOL!!!

It's overrated, trust me on this one. The childs mess makes the area messy admittedly, but full of life and vibrance. A clean room is simply a room that has no memory.

Call me crazy....but I just don't want to remember my dirty underwear.
Seriously, I know what you are saying....but it's hard for me because my whole family is BEYOND clean. I grew up that way and it REALLY bothers me when a room isn't tidy. I can't relaxe in a messy room.

Me too. Actually in this house it's the last cardboard box I never got round to unpacking. I vacuum when I think I may have visitors. The kids clothes are in the European Clothes Mountain. At least in this house the Mountain is in the cupboards, rather than occupying the spare room. Three times my friends have sorted it out for me (it's a full days work) and I have sworn I'll never let it happen again. I am actually a lot tidier than I used to be but I still seem incapable of finding the time to put clothes on hangars.
