Default Where would you live?

If you had the opportunity?

Personally I am seriously considering moving to Austrailia. It wouldn't be this year, but most likely 2007.

Basically all you need is $4,000 in your bank account and they let you in - it's more complicated than that, but it's relatively easy compared to other countries.

I don't have anything holding me down here really, I have a college diploma and I could save up ALOT while paying off my debts if I put my mind to it.

I'm happy living in British Columbia though I wouldn't mind an extensive visit in England or Japan...and, of course, Disneyland...if I could afford it but I can't...

- South Africa, the highveld. Perfect climate. My girlfriend. Land with many opportunities. Sadly also a fair bit of crime. Just writing this makes me think of the country. Its hills. Its valleys. The air, the roads.

But also the poverty, horrible stories of crime (if it were not for a small incident I would almost have witnessed a bank-robbery in which two employees were killed).

Else, I would probably pick San Diego.

I think I'd stick around in BC for good because it is a very beautiful place. I'd likely have a home in the alps though for ski trips and a cottage somewhere in the hills for mountain biking.

HAHAHA..... that reminds me of a couple of weekends ago when Chloe's new 'best friend' went with us to visit the grandbaby. I made a yankee joke not knowing she moved here from Massachusettes. I should've been embarassed....but it made the joke funnier...to me anyway.

Weiser,
I could probably handle living in another country for a shorter amount of time....but not make it my home. If I had to chose though....it would be Australia. I like the way they talk, the men are sexy and the country seems overly fond of beer. All that would work for me. 8)

Didn't we have this discussion like a week ago??? That's OK...I like repeat threads. It's all good.

If you are interested in good beer, you can try one of three: The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Highest amount of different breweries per head of the population.
Although I must say the DUtch and Germans are lacking in the sexy department ...

Now I doubt that's true and I'm sure your gf would totally disagree!!!

I have a couple of uncles and other familiy members in Germany who my mother is in contact with ....she didn't move to the USA until she was in her early 20's and I was 3-4 years of age.

I don't think I could handle the politics in either of those places for a long term though. A nice big BEER FEST sure would be fun though. :toast:

Bathe in beer. Who can resist?

Strange, as Germans and the Dutch are barely considered attractive. But then again, what the he11 do I know?

I imagine the opinion varies...depending on the female. As for me...I don't find French or Italian men all that sexy. Maybe it's because THEY think they are and it becomes annoying because they are so pushy about it.

That is a good point. The idea of being something, becomes self-defeating at some point.

Now add my angelic innocence, and I can see why some women would be attracted to that .

Actually, it is one on which my gf agrees.
