What smells are your favourites?
Coffee brewing in the early morning, fresh mown lawn, bread baking, and the smell of the air after a rain shower!

coffee, and a perfume by elizabeth arden that i can never remember the name of but that reminds me of lots of ex-grilfriends and drives me crazy. Fried seafood and sangria on a dark, hot summer mediterranean night in a seafront restaurant along with the smell of my girlfriend's skin as I whisper in her ear....hmmm

The smell of air after the rain, the smell of the fields after the dry grass and the sticks have been burnt, in the autumn - this reminds me of my childhood, the smell of a new book - you can scent the fresh ink, and the anticipation of the pleasure of reading, the smell of the forest very very early in the morning, - you can almost smell the green, the scent of my dog's furr after I've just washed him and he runs away from me because he's upset.
I was forgetting... the smell of freshly cut wood... God I love that, eveytime my parents bought a new piece of furniture I'd run home to see if the scent faded away.

When I was a kid, my dad used to be a heavy smoker. He'd buy the cheapest, strongest, most harmful cigarettes on the market, with the strongest scent I've ever felt, called "Carpati".
Each time I run into an someone who stinks "Carpati" I smile because it reminds me of Sunday afternoons as a kid.
