What kind of Christmas shopper....
are you?
http://home.valornet.com/sabruf2/countchr.html
ony 84 days until Christmas!
Have you started shopping yet, do you get gifts during the year so you won't be rushed, or do you wait until the last minute?

I don't do Christmas gifts - not a tradition in my family.

Interesting...An unmaterialistic Christmas...is it then all about the Spirit of Christmas?

More like that, yes. Not even with traditional meals.
Besides when me and my brothers were little kids, we had a Dutch tradition, "Sinterklaas" (Saint Nicholas of Myra) who brought all the gifts 3 weeks prior.
That tradition is slowly being destroyed by the American Christmas. My family never bothered to do more than having a Christmas tree.

Yes, because it almost always came in three parts. At my parents, and at both my grandparents'. It was easy for my parents to create stories on how the gifts got to three different places too. (beat that Santa!)

I usually wait until Oct or Nov. When my kids were little I shopped a lot sooner. The problem is my husbands birthday is late November, then Christmas, then our anniversary at the end of December and then my birthday in January. I just don't know what to get anymore since the kids got older.

Because of some changes that will be happening in my life I started Christmas shopping very early this year. I have to say I didn't enjoy picking out Christmas gifts when the air conditioners were on full blast in the stores. I love the whole hectic period that is Christmas. Buying, wrapping, baking, enjoying family......Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh so relaxinggggggg

At least you are on the correct hemisphere. Christmas in South Africa: bloody hot, everyone is in their shorts, and I won't even start on the subject of Christmas trees ...

I am not. I think most people, especially with young kids prefer the Sinterklaas. Also, because it is not in the middle of the holiday season, stress tends to be a bit less of an issue.

I've been the merry HO in more Christmas parties than I wish to remember. Luckily, at my age, I only have to remember the parts that I thought were extemely flattering.
Not the times I fell down or knocked over something. :P
