What do you love most about your country?
I live in Canada, actually west coast of British Columbia Canada. It's a very beautiful province that has a different part of the world located somewhere within the province. The landscape in our country is so diverse and much of the land is untouched, it really is a beautiful place to live.
How about yourselves?

Wow....what a great question!
The answer should come easy....but as I was going for fresh coffee....I realized I don't know how to put it in words.
I love our politics (even when it stinks),
I love our military (even when they screw up),
I love our system (even when it doesn't work) and
I love our SPUNK (even when no one else appreciates it).
I guess it's much the way most people feel about their family. Even with all the screw ups....they are still YOURS and you love them. You belong to them.
I love and belong to my country.....and I have no words to explain why.

That's actually a great answer. It shows patriotism in it's highest degree.
I do wonder how you would have answered the question if Kerry was the President.
I do know you'd be posting from some haystack in South-central Saskatchewan.

It wouldn't change the way I feel about my country if Kerry had been elected. However, it's because of the way that I feel about America that I couldn't have taken we were in that traitor's hand.
I spent lots of time helping to compaign against Kerry and it was worth every minute of it.
Even in 1973 he called himself a 'Universalist' and wanted us to bow down to that wacky a$$ed UN that can't even regulate itself. I think I said in a post that if anyone tries to do that to America...they would cause a revolution. I'm not kidding....it would be a disaster.
I believe this is the main reason he lost the election.

What do you mean the UN can't regulate itself? No offense but that shows little understanding of its purpose, of what its done for this world or even how it works. Who's the organisation in Africa where theres millions of people starving and real rogue states and dicatorships killing there own people (where the US and UK should be for a start!), the UN. Which international body has been flighting against racism, sexism, slavery, famine, disease, fighting for religious and social freedoms for the last 60 years? Its not be the US thats for certain, its been the UN. Please read about it, from the UN, not fox or CNN which are about as impartial as the Chinese press as to there truth. The US seems the only country not to like the UN. And we know why that is. The US doesn't get its way on the only international forum where international laws and policies are discust, rationally and legally so it stamps its feet like a overgrown child who can't have his cookies and then the US press gives it negative publicity! WTF is all that about. Roosevelt and Churchill, who set it up would be turning in there graves. Two men I have more respect for than any political figures in the last 1000 years!
Whenever I see anyone complain about the UN its an American, no one else. What does that say about international co-operation.
Back on topic:
I like my country for its history and its intergrated culture and we make the best TV programs period!, some aspects are great but im also very embarrised to be from the UK given the horrible things we did prior to 1948 when the empire was essentially finished off. We werent nice people and did what the hell we pleased for 300 years which Im not confortable with. At least all those nations we dictated or bought out get along in the commonwealth so its not all bad. I was proud of are immigration policy...we used to let anyone in who wanted to start over, give them money and help but thats going now which O think is sad. Were all human, we all have the same desires, wants and needs so why treat people different based on where they come from. I don't understand.

I like the way everyones open to eachother, you can say whatever you want and show your opinion. Apparently, some f*cking extremists are trying to waste our culture... As you might heard on the news a couple days ago, a Dutch filmmaker was murdered by someone of Moroccan origin because he criticized the Islam...
I like the fact that a lot of things are possible in this country, some examples: softdrugs policy, gay marriage (don't associate me with this..), abortion.. etc.
I think we're pretty much ahead of the rest of the world considering a lot of things.

Now THAT was funny! (especially for those reading in the religious threads!)
Some of those commandments come with clauses or clarification though. Just like when we say 'Thou shalt not kill'.....actually in the Greek it says 'Thou shalt not commit murder'. The verse is not referring to a war situation at all.
Back to Topic...sorry....nothing like one of my useless knowledge tangents.

Ahhhh....freedom is a typical American response...unfortunately...we aren't really all that free in America. Unless of course you're Paris Hilton or Bill Gates. Then you can do what the heck ever and get away with it.
Mind you, not that I think we should just say the heck with laws and let chaos reign. A few examples are....our houses. We put a big chunk down and pay for them month by month...but they are never really ours. Sure we may pay off the mortgage company...but you don't pay your taxes on that house one year and see where it gets you! Another thing that chaps my a** is weed. Honesty how many people smoke that stuff? It's unreal. Business persons, teacher, coaches, laborers...the list goes on. Yet if you are caught with more than a "doobie" in your possesion they'll lock you up and try to throw the key away. Mind you, I don't smoke the stuff. I don't smoke anything period. But why is the government so against it? Because they can't tax it. The same reason Moonshine is illegal. They can't tax it. I say bull poopie!
Okay...that was a rant huh? My bad.
*clears throat*
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT MY COUNTRY:
It's balls.
