The Coffee House

Just brewing myself a fresh cup of coffee and thought I'd start a new topic for us to share idle chatter while we sip our favorite hot beverages.

To commemorate the opening of this new coffee house, I've added some coffee related smilies for your posting enjoyment

Re: The Coffee House

Is this to replace Koffee Klatch Cafe, Duke? LOVE the smilies!

I'll start some conversation: Do you prepare yourself mentally for the week ahead on Sunday night? Do you notice the difference in your week if you have a plan, and try to get your mind into a Positive state?

It would be interesting, if you did, to see your results at the end of the week, if it actually made a difference, a small or even a remarkable one?

Re: The Coffee House

Ya I figured what better way to bring in new coffee smilies than with a new coffee topic.

Preparing for work on Sunday night means I end the week miserable and start off the week miserable. I do my best to not allow work to invade my thoughts when I'm on my personal time.

The only time I ever allow work related thoughts to permeate the boundaries of my me time is when I'm facing a difficult situation at work that requires a thought process free from the hurried based "get it done quick" decisions required during the day to day.

It's going to take several cups today to keep me from falling asleep on my feet me thinks.

It sounds like you had a disturbing night, Duke.

I'm sort of worn out myself, the most unusual dreams. I just checked the calendar and there is a full moon tomorrow, that explains me.

Re: The Coffee House

Drat! My plan for a coffee based lunch was foiled, as we suddenly had some training on social networking sites. To top it off, there was an enforced power cut, due to building renovations straight after that.

So the full moon explains it. Sheesh! I can't get any sleep for the crazy dreams. They've worn me out more than my waking life.

Too bad my coffee pot broke. I'm making a run to 7-11.

My mouth tastes like it's full of cotton; I hope the coffee is brewed by now.

.......Ahhhhh, THAT'S better!

Have you tried it black, Bridgie? I always said that I could never drink black coffee, but that's mostly what I do now! I cut out the sugar from coffee years ago, too! I'm shocked that I was able to do that!

Bridgie, Love your sense of humour!

Ever try Baileys or Carolans in coffee on special occasions?

I drank my coffee so fast this morning that it actually made me dizzy for about 10 minutes.

Did you accidentally have some Baileys in there?

My cousin gave me a recipe for making my own Irish Cream. I tried it once. Very good but of course you have to finish it within a couple days since it could spoil otherwise. At least, that is my excuse!!!!

I like your excuse as I would use the same one, too!

Re: The Coffee House

I got up a little earlier than planned today so instead of going straight into work, I'm going to sit around here for a bit and enjoy a cup of coffee.

I wonder if I'll be kicked out of the Coffee House for drinking tea first thing this morning! (Luba looks around cautiously for the Coffee police)

It's going to take another 16,000 cups to keep my eye lids up today.
