STORY OF THE MONTH

OKay this is how it works....I will start the first part of the story and when you read this thread when you get to the bottem you add on to the story PLEASE dont post Over and Over, let other members get a TURN!!!!!So here it goes....

The Haunted Mansion!!!!

There was once a girl named Ashley and a boy named Brandon. They had recently moved into a neighborhood and were starting to make friends with the new kids. One day they met the COOLEST 8) Kid on the block...His name was Justin. He told Ashley and Brandon that if they wantd to get into his "circle of Friends" then they would have to spend the whole night in the HAUNTED HOUSE!!!!Bwahahaha :evilin:

Ashley and Brandon couldn't understand why Justin was considered so cool because this was the dumbest suggestion they ever heard. With Justin fading off into the distance, the two discussed whether or not they would actually go through with the insane request.

"We don't need to prove anything to this dumbass", said Brandon.

Ashley agreed.

Instead, the two devised a plan on how to trick Justin into believing they were there and play a trick on him at the same time.

So they went down to the ice cream parlor to work out the details over a hot fudge sundae! mmmm ... hot fudge...

While at the ice cream parlor they decided to find out exactly where this supposed haunted mansion was so they could pay a trick on Justin.

They asked the old man behind the counter if he knew the location of the mansion.

His eyes got all glassy. His hands began to shake. In a very whispered voice he said "Never ever go there or you will never ever be the same!".

Ashley and Brandon thought that the old man was senile so they asked a woman who was sitting over in the corner of the parlor. When they asked her about the mansion she immediatly began to tell a story about the time when her and her friends went in there.....
"I remember it just like it was yesterday, it was a cold, quiet night and we were coming home from prom and thought that it would be fun just to see what was in there...we went up cautiously and broke some rickety boards off of the front door and opened it, we went inside and sat in a circle. After a while we started to get bored so then we, we,...um"

Well I dont quite remember now but I know it was scarry....but I still remember where the house was....It's down on the end of an old overgrown dirt road that exits off of Gum Street 5 minutes out of town..or was it the other way? No Im sure it was on Gum Street. Bye now!!"

And with that the old lady got up and walked out of the parlor with a quaint little smirk on her face.

As they were leaving....once again the old man whispered "Never go there or you will never be the same.".

The kids decided to get a street map and go check out the old mansion for themselves while it was still daylight.

It was at the edge of town (haunted mansions always ARE....you know!) behind tall ornately scrolled iron gates which looked like they hadn't been open for a very long time. They were rusty and had some pieces missing
....but you could tell it was once very beautiful.

In the distance, behind the mossy trees, they could see the three story mansion. It had columns, wrap around porches and looked like it was once a very palatial home.

The kids wondered why anyone would let such a beautiful house go to ruins like that. It was almost sad just looking at it.
