NOTE: spud guns are dangerous and serious injury can occur if you shoot someone with one or assemble it wrong.
I've been really into spud guns latelly, researching different methods of making them, different propellants for cumbustions guns and different valves for pneumatics.
I was going to make a pneumatic one, but they're a little more complicated and I wanted one before a big end of the season paintball game me and my friends are doign this saturday.
Right now my gun is sitting out in the garage and as soon as the PVC cement is dry and it's safe to fire, I'm gonna test it out.
Basically all it is is a 2" by 40" PVC pipe for the barrel, a reducer that makes it go from 4" to 2" which is connected to the chamber which is 4" by 12", a lantern lighter with a flint on it (igniter) and a male thread on the back that a plug goes in.
To fire, put a spud (or something that will fit tight in there) down the barrel to the beginning of the chamber, put in hairspray or propane (I prefer propane, close the cap and then spark the igniter and "FWOOM", out flies the spud.
My friend has one that's bigger than mine that we used to put a clean hole through 3/4 inch plywood. Totally awesome.
I'll post some pics on monday.

I'm gonna video tape it too, but I don't have any efficient way of putting it on my computer.
