There are quite a few pools over here, but in some instances ticketprices have rose from roughly 3$ to 12$ in 4 years time.
And the weather is most often bad, and only during Summer the beach is not a place you'd freeze to death. And 'good' weather often causes extreme traffic jams to the beaches.

I was visiting my grandparents sat night...see other posts.
Flash is tough to learn.
Twinkle, what your bf is doing is bad, who knows what he tells her when you are not around. And laziness can be a sign of cheating because they are using all their energy on the other person.
I wish i was on spring break in florida.

Ahahahhahah, DA, you're too sweet!
Duke, star, I want to thank you for being that straight forward with me. I really do appreciate it and what you've "said" does make its way to me.
Heather, there's nothing I would love more than seeing you and your kids - and seeing the beach in Florida !
Hopefully by the end of the year... who knows?
Big hug,
Twinkle

I like to walk at the beach with no pants on either.
I hope I don't come across as harsh in my posts twinkle, but you seem like a really great gal and there's no way you should have to endure what your bf is putting you through. In fact, if he acted like that when you were just getting to know each other you would never have even built a relationship with him in the first place.
Think of the frog in the boiling water scenario, your the frog that started off in cold water and is now slowly being cooked to death.

That's precisely how I feel. I think I am indeed about to make a decision about that... I just want my own time not to regret anything.

Merika, I hope you won! I had a mad day yesterday, Fridays are bad and I've noticed I go overboard on Saturdays to compensate.
I was at lorros first thing (stayed over fri night - thanks for the stuff), then spent the afternoon with a friend and her kids and went to see another friend perform in a concert that evening. They did the 1812 overture but instead of cannon sounds, they had Musketeers in full costume. No-one was injured. Later, in the bar, I had the bizarre experience of being chatted up by someone dressed as a Napoleonic soldier .
Todays was mothers day, is it a different day in the US?
(Merika, lorros computer is out for a week - virus )

In Romania it's the 8-th and it's a really big deal. So is 1 March!
I don't think French celebrate either.

My 4 year old kept asking when her day was. I had one, Daddy had one, why not her?

Mother's day or women's day?
International Women's day is March 8th. I think that is the celebration Twinkle is referring to in Romania. Under communism back then it was a very important event.

Meanon, tell her she'll have one when she'll have babies of her own (doll not included)!!
Vautin, it still is very important. It makes us apart from the other cultures . I used to love this day. Boys would bring flowers to school for teachers and their favourite classmates. I'd end up going home with beautifull bouquets, lol!!! The good ol' days !!!

You're very welcome twinkle, I just hate seeing good people taken advantage of.
Mothers Day is in May, at least here it is because it's usually only a few days from my birthday.

Too late twinkle. I've already agreed we will have a Holly Day. Date to be decided.....
My Mum and her friends used to celebrate Womens Day. For some reason I associate (unfairly)her fervent feminist activity with the dreaded feminist fairy tales she gave me as a small child. One was about a genderless child called X. I'm sure it made many worthy points about society at large but it gave me nightmares.
There is an International Children's Day. I have no idea when it is.
