Sales Tips
OK wish me luck! tomarrow I have the BIG consultation. I am meeting with a 76 year old lady to reposition her funds to an EIA. This is my first appointment alone and it will be my biggest comission ever ( 30K) so I am a nervous reck.. Fortunatly the accountant I work for will also attend the appointment and tell her why this product will benifit her tax wise..
Got any additional sales tips........... I am soooooooo nervous
OK I know tip #1 don't be nervos but besides that what else ya got?

Honesty, eye contact, confident body posture, and open ended questions are the best sales strategies that I've learned. Talking at a client is the worsed thing you can do, getting them talking gives you the best chance for success.

Don't overdo it, don't be over friendly. Use simple language, simple terms.
Let the person talk and listen. Selling has a lot more to do with listening than with talking. You're not selling that person money, but security, so be sure to comfort the person - if possible without lying .

Well I did it I sold it and the meeting took a turn nobody expected.. poor old lday I asked her to bring me all of her financial statements and noticed that her Stock broker was really taking her for a ride, I mentioned it to the CPA and he brought that up so I didn't look like I was bad mouthing another company.. Turns out her broker sold her mulitpals of the same product, and she lost a CRAP LOAD of money.. the poor thing has slight dementia anyone can take advantage of her.
So my solution to her problems is a good one, and I know it will help her regain atleast sum of the money she lost..
All in ALl I made the sale, probably one of the biggest sales of my life.. but I am not happy, I am sad and EXTREAMLY disipointed in my fellow brokers that take advantage of little old ladies for comission purposes. I am pusing her to submit a complain against morgan stanley, this never should have happened to her and she never should have purchased that product :? :? I am glad she is now my client because I will make dammed sure her assets will be protected from now on... Stupid Broker I don't know how he sleeps at night.
I am more happy to help her than I am about the money, maby I am not such a cold hearted golddigger after all :?

Oh Stone....what a wonderful story! I'm glad you made the sale...but more importantly....that you have the confidence in your ability to make such a contribution to someone's life. This is probably money earmarked to help her grandkids in college one day and it's important that it's making as much investment money as it can.
I'm proud of you Stone...you DID IT!
