Open Water
has anyone seen this yet? Man it freaked me out I can't imagine just floating there waiting to be shark food The DVD is cool b/c it shows how it was filmed- those actors were actually in the water w/all those sharks!!!

I saw it last week on DVD. It's baseed on a true story. I couldn't believe how long it took people to realize they were missing in the first place! I'd be terrified too but I did find the movie slow moving. I think I would've done the same thing as she did at the end. I'd rather drown then become shark food. You wouldn't catch me in water surrounded by a bunch of sharks! you couldn't pay me enough to do that! YIKES!! 8O

most sharks dont attack people, less people die a year from shark attacks then from being attacked by goats.
the actors swam uncaged with real sharks to make the movie.

I saw something similar on Discovery about a girl who was accidentally left in the water while diving off of a boat......or she had drifted too far under water and they couldn't find her. They also mentioned the group of people it happened to and that they were making a movie.
I would just die of terror after realizing I was out in the ocean alone with no land in sight. How scary would THAT be???

it would be terrifying! here you are in the middle of an ocean. How would you know which way to start swimming to hit land? what if you swam deeper into the ocean instead? The thought of it is so frightening

Why dive with sharks in the first place? Go to an aquarium for God sakes, keep dry, eat some popcorn, take some pictures, go home and rent jaws. It may not be as exciting but you're less likely to die.

they had not intended to dive w/sharks- they were diving in a coral reef- the boat miscounted heads and left w/out them- they drifted out to shark territory
Has anyone seen the show on Discovery about "Air Jaws"?
