Default Odd Buildings

http://d21c.com/sombra5/americanoddities.html

I've actually seen the ice cream cone, tee pees and been in the upside-down museum (near Disney World, Orlando). The rest are also very cool. I would love to build a house that was strange like that.

What is the oddest building structure you have ever seen?

Those are so cool! We have a building that looks like an apple in ontario (further noth of where i am - niagara area) They're famous for their apple pies.

We also have a flying saucer restaurant in niagara falls. The food is great there! We loved to go there for breakfast.

I'd have to say the house on the rock. This guy pretty much hauled everything to build the house up to the site on a rope ladder. he lived there (as far as i know) until he died, but now it's a big attractions with other parts with old cars and stuff. If you're ever in spring green wisconsin I highly recommend it. Haven't been there in awhile though.

I'd love to live in one of those glass beach homes.

Don't let the pictures fool ya Duke! Between the sea gull crap and the stickey sea spray.....it's not all it's cracked up to be. Either you, or someone, better like cleaning glass.....daily.

I actually meant that I like the home, I really have no desire to live on the beach at all.

I guess living underground would be fine if you were living somewhere really hot but I'd hate to do it otherwise. I need as much natural light as possible, so do my tropical plants.

Those are pretty cool but I couldn't live in an underground house. I need natural light or i'd go bananas. I lived in a couple basement apartments when i was younger, single with roomates and I hated it because it's always so dark. I'd feel like a mole. Underground houses are not for me.

Not only that but it seems that there was always bug problems in any basement suites that I lived in. It didn't seem to matter how new or nice the house was either.

Lots of bugs like earwigs, spiders, potatoe bugs, centepedes...ewwww! those houses must be really damp. That's why there's always bugs in basements, because of the dampness.

Each house did seem to have a particular type of bug infestation, some were ants, others were earwigs, they all had spiders.

Those houses were very cool Isis. I could easily live underground....like a mole. I think it would be wonderful....bugs or not.
