Default Now WHERE did you put it?

Are you a real organized person or do you always have to hunt for stuff?
Do you put things in the same place each time?
Do you have a system?
Do you have a mess?
Can you find whatever document/pic you are looking for on your puter?
Can you always find a pen in your house if you need one?

You don't have to answer all of the above. They are just questions to help evaluate where you stand.

I have super secret hiding places. So secret in fact, that not even I can find them.

oh... for a second there I thought the topic meant something else.

Anyway most of the time I have organized choas, where anyone else would pull out there hair but I can find what I'm looking for. Then there are my neat freak days, a few times a month. I really don't care how it looks, as long as I know where it is, that's all that matters!

hahahahahaha!

If I have a big clutter somewhere....it literally will keep me awake at night. I hate to be disorganized. I'm better about it now than when I was younger though. I still drive my kids up a wall.

I'm different that way. I'm not a neat freak but I'm not a slob either. My computer desk is completely covered in CD's, paperwork, games and game boxes, printer, gaming devices, etc. In fact, my whole computer desk resembles many of the chaotic scenes in the Movie Twister.

Again, I'm better than I used to be about freaking out over anything I consider not organized.....but clutter actually makes me nervous. I can't even watch TV if the room isn't all picked up. I find anything our of plae as being distracting.

My Mom always says if the house caught on fire....I'd burn up staying back to make the bed. LOL!

OMG, I'm the same!...I put stuff away that I think I will never forget because it makes so much sense at the time....then later I can't find what I'm looking for....

Before someone says it's an age thing, I don't think so because I've always done that...

I am somewhat organized. I usually can find what I am looking for and I have a place for everything. If someone moves it I go crazy looking for it. I do have the problem of putting some things away in a place I am sure I will remember only to find I can't find it later. It usually shows up eventually.

Totally unorganized me!

We don't have a place for everything (can we say clutter-bug?) consequently things don't get 'put away'.

We tend to go and find or get what we need - bring it to another room (usually the living room in front of the TV) and when we are done - lay it down. The kitchen is another place for leaving things. Or we leave things on the tables and never put them away. Once a month we get an empty box and go around the tables and sweep everything into a box. The box sits on the floor in another room for a couple of months and if we don't go pawing through it, it gets moved to the garage. Every year we get into the garage and start going through all the boxes and amaze ourselves at when we find! "OH! I wondered where that was" should be tattoed on all of us. If we don't get all the boxes sorted they wait another year or three and by the time we go through them we have purchased whatever we needed that may be a duplicate of what is in the boxes so we through the stuff out or have a garage sale. I probably have a dozen nail clippers scattered throughout boxes in the garage. And lighters, and scissors, and barettes, and lighters, and batteries, and bits of paper with notes or phone numbers on them, and receipts, and jewelry, pens and pencils, and....

I came across a tote bag once with figbars and canned fruit that had to have been five years old. In a box, in the garage.

My whole family is that way. There have been many times we've had to call to find out what our monthly payment was on something -- like the electric bill, phone bill, credit card.... because we lost the original bill. Last year (or maybe it was the year before) I had to have a new W-2 form issued because I lost one.

I never considered myself as bad as my SIL though - she never put the dishes back in the same cupboard twice!

Geeze Just_A_Thought....that would drive me insane. I have to know where everything I own is and what EXACTLY is in every box in the house. If I buy something new...I throw all duplicates away. The kids still clutter up their rooms  but not the rest of the house or I'll throw it out.
