Newspaper article - Chloe
This is my daughter Chloe in her Woman's Chamber Choir robe and the hairdo to match. They can't wear jewelry or any heavy makeup while performing.
She is now learning both a French and a German piece which she is singing at state competitions next month. I don't know what they say....but it sounds pretty.
Her Greatgreatgrandmother in Germany was a very well known opera singer. Guess she inherited that gene.
I'll get the CD and the DVD from the concert in the next couple of weeks by mail.

Maybe a tiny piece of it...if it's do-able. I had to edit the way I took the article out of photobucket. I hope it's still not too big.

I would inform myself of the lyrics. Some languages can make eternal damnation sound like a beautiful thing.
But seriously, Chloe is highly talented at what she is doing. Hopefully she won't lose interest for whatever reason, and keep enjoying this for the rest of her life.

Oddly enough Vautrin....even when she was a little girl...she would watch opera on TV. We didn't know what was wrong with her. HAHA. Finally, my mom got her some videos and tape sets and that's all she wanted to listen to. As she got older she sang along with Josh Grobin and Charlotte Church....like other normal kids were singing with Britnet Spears.
Part of her strength, besides hitting a high C on cue....is that she loves the music and it comes across in her singing. It's why the judges love her. When she sings....people cry. No Joke.
She likes pop type music and even some country....but she said she feels the flow of opera music more because it says so much. She also likes religious music. This is also a kid who reads instead of watching tv. I call her my little odd one.

That made me wonder how you refer to your other kids.

Oh you mean Mr Commicrat (my liberal adult son) and Jackson Erwin (named after Steve Erwin of conservationalist claim)??? Yep...he'll eat MEAT...but not if it's connected to what he calls the 'carcass'. HAHA!
All my kids are a little wierd in their own way.

As long as they are happy with their weirdness. And as long as it makes the people around them smile, great!

More times than not....they p*ss off the people around them and ofcourse... each other.
However, I do feel the most important thing a person can do with their life...is to find whatever it is they greatly believe in and make it so. If it's not the most popular belief...then it's even more special and rare.
You know, it's funny, kids do all sorts of things to rebel against their parents. When I was 20 years old...I joined the Democratic Party so I could shove my voters registration in my Dad's face. Ohhhhhhhhhh....how rebelious was that????? I changed it back later....but he didn't speak to me for about 5 months.

That is funny. "Careful Dad. Don't make me join the Democrats!"

Hey...in my household...that was close to TREASON! And somehow, it still sort of is. I was very upset when my oldest son threw all caution in the wind and married a liberal. Now, he's ALL messed up!!! They are both librarians and totally weird!!! They listen to jazz, smoke pott and vote Democrat. It's just not acceptable. LOL!

I'm going to be honest....from the conversations I've had with Meanon, Twinks and you.....I'm really not surprised that people in Europe are getting a little p*ssed off. There's no reason for the government to make everyone's life so hard by all the red tape.
I would feel really controlled and MAD AS H*LL if I couldn't rent my own property without having to go thru any paperwork with the court system. You should be able to rent just as easily. We have to file marriages....but you can walk in ANY day and get married same hour. We have to file land/property sales....but that only takes about 15 minutes too. As a matter of fact...if there isn't a lender involved....you can do a Contract of Deed and not even fool with it.
