I have noticed that either #1 the Music of my generation really sucks.. BAD ( don't mean to offend anyone) OR I am getting old for my age.

I often listen to Classic Rock, 80's Monster Rock, or 70's and 80's dance/disco. Because there is nothing appealing out there that's new

Listening to todays hip hop, metal and techno today I really don't think 80% of the artist have any talent! Most singers can't play an insturment or write a song. And the rappers that wright songs don't make sence or tell a story unless it's Eminem witch is a discrace to my generation. Most of the times the beats are ok or stolen, but I can't understand a word they are saying and if I do it is such broken english/slang it's stupid...


The good music is dead and it's sad :? OR I AM OLD!!

I am a Classic 80's fan all the way! They really don't make music like that anymore (now i'm sounding like my mother! 8O ). I agree with today's music. I don't think rap is music, it's just people talking with stolen tunes in the background and hip hop all sound the same. It's all crap these days. I do like avril lavigne and shania twain. they're both from ontario!!!

County isn't bad I like it. Shania is awasome and beautiful. Avril is cool to atleast most of her songs have astory behind them.

Country is the one music I can't take, it makes me want to shoot myself or marry my cousin.

I think shania is in a category on her own. it's a little bit country, hip hop, rock...she's awesome and I LOVE all her music. I agree...avril does have some good stories in her songs too.

Avril is pretty great but I only listen to that kind of music because of my daughter. I'm more into Korn, AIC, STP, Creed, OLP, Metallica, Limp Bizkit, etc.

you're a heavy metal fan. I used to listen to that kind of music (scorpions, black sabath) but i just can't anymore. it gives me a headache! must be getting old. :?

I have a home stereo that has 10 speakers connected to it and a Dolby Digital Receiver. I also have 5.1 stereo surround for my computer for gaming and such. My car has close to 1000 watts, 4 speakers and 2 12" subwoofers. I guess you can say that I like my music loud and proud.

I like Alternitive as well but Korn is 90's, AIC is 80's & 90's, Metallica is 80's & 90's Aerosmith is also still great BUT they originated in the 70's 80's. & STP is also 90's You have Great taste in music Duke, but most of it is older and just proves my point!!! LMAO Nothing new is good anymore.

I know much of it originated back then but a lot of it is still new and driving the music industry. As far as AIC and STP, well, anyone who doesn't like them is plain nuts.

Fred Durst, Limp Bizkit, is my daughter in law's cousin. Sn00py just thinks that's the greatest thing in the world.

As for rap....I totally hate it....but not any more so than my parents hated my choice of music.

I don't like real loud music anymore.....

Avril Lavigne, along with all sorts of other is wretched.

I can't stand songs that are about adolescence, marketed towards adolescence with genuine sincerity. It's unfair. It's shooting creative fish in a barrel.

It's like a comedian going to Iraq on a USO tour to entertain the soldiers with jokes about how smelly the insurgents are. Where's the art? Where's the risk?
