Lookin for truth
Just curious,
I'm a bit off as far as webmasters go, I'm aware of this. I do not set a good example in the forums or strive to lock things down much.
I also tend to PM random members for virtually no reason at all. This is actually what I'm curious about. Does this bother you?
I've never asked but I am very curious. Your honesty is greatly appreciated!

by randomly PM'ing you mean like you sent me this morning? NO! I don't mind that at all. I think it's cute and funny. don't ever stop doing it!
another thing that I do LOVE about this place is that it's not always serious. I LOVE the humor in the topics. so, we get off topic once in awhile...well, okay, more then that but who cares! It makes this place fun to come back to. don't ever change your sense of humor. it's awesome!
If this place was always serious talk, it would get boring and depressing. whihc is the reason why i don't frequent CPO as much anymore. too serious for my. this place rocks!!!

Strict moderation, deleting or editing off topic or hi-jacked threads.
I don't do that and never will but many sites do.

I think NOT locking things down is a good thing, not a bad thing. Unless there's a troll. A group of friends (which due to it's size this forum effectively is) do not need their conversations moderating. Indeed, it would be positively impolite!
Your PMs are always welcomed.
What's bothering you, Duke?

Thanks for asking Meanon, I'm not sure really. As of late I've had this growing feeling of unease and can't pinpoint what it is or really where it's coming from.
I think it's because I feel my life has hit some sort of invisible crossroad and I'm standing in the middle of it, turning in circles, not sure which direction to take.
Does that make any sense at all?

Yes it does. I think sometimes when people are at such crossroads, they feel that everything is loaded with significance. I'm not sure you'll know what I mean. It's as if you feel that the slightest miscalculation or wrong move could upset the course of your life.
Trust your instincts, your heart. They are usually sound. Mistakes are common in this frame of mind but they tend to happen when people don't trust what feels right and natural, when they over-analyse or try and force their life down a certain route. I don't know if that will help you, Duke, but feel sure that you'll find the solutions you're looking for.
As for the forum, it's a caring place and a credit to you. Every other web master I've known has ended up taking it far too seriously for their own good. Of course you have to care about it or none of us would be here, but try and invest in your IRL too, that's just as important.

I think you're right Meanon, I've made many mistakes in my past and I'm worried about screwing up now. I'm sitting on top of a few really great opportunities but I'm a little unsure of myself and how best to proceed.
Over the past few years I've turned into a very cautious person. The best example I can give is how long I've pained over this site move and deciding on a final course of action. How long did that pathetic little step take, 2 - 3 months?
I was just thinking that I haven't PM'd you in a while Stone,
so,
check your inbox. ;-)
