Merika, I'm beginning to wonder if there are TWO meanons floating around, only one of which is ME. I can't remember this conversation at all!

I'll be sure to make myself available but I can't guarantee for how long. I'd be a real jerk if I didn't at least attend an online party that is catered toward members of this site so I'll make myself available.

As for online chat programs, I'd have to agree with Merika. There is actually a chat module available for phpnuke which I could have added to this site but decided against it as the program usually detracts from the forums and only serves to create cliques within a site.

I didn't say you came up with the idea....I said you made me THINK of the idea.....when we were talking about you, I and Lorro having a chat!

I don't think pulling it together on the puter is the problem....I think finding a time which is the best for more of the membership would be the target.

How does everyone feel about a couple of days after Christmas when we have most of our family obligations met? It's not hard to do....we can all meet on here...than move to an IM. Once you post your IM screenname....then all we need is one person to open up a private chat room and start inviting people in. It's not difficult. I've done it many times before.

Once you guys pick a good time.....I'll email the info to the members I know in email....and the rest of you can do the same. It would be wonderful.

I think we're all assuming that Merika is spearheading this event. I'd love to guys but my time is still very uncertain and there's not much of it available.

I can probably be the most flexible in terms of time.

Let's start with 8:00 pm (EST) ....Tuesday December 28. That's a beginning date and time. Everyone add in if that's good for them or give an alternate date or time or both. We'll keep goofing with it until we come up with the best time for the most amount of people who want to participate.

I'll likely be spending this Christmas alone (not sure yet) so I'll be around pretty much all day if that's the case.

I was thinking 8:00 pm due to various time zones.....but it's all good to me. I'm sorry Meanon and others are totally put out with that time though. It's hard to put together a 'global party'.

The kid's voted to do Christmas a day early....no as in Christmas Eve....we just get up a day early and pretend it's Christmas. So...we are doing our family presents on Friday...then having one of the members from this forum over for a regular Christmas dinner on Saturday.

Therefore, I'll probably be around on Christmas Day, after dinner, also.
