Let's pack our bags!
Spin off from from the what would you pack thread.
If we had to collectively pack the stuff we would need to get out of a disaster area safely, add things to the list, and possibly even remove things.
One item to be added at the list at a time.
1. Legal documents. Tons of legal documents. I am not thrilled by the prospect of being harassed by the authorities for 15 years because I supposedly did not live in the disaster area.

My polaroids of me tied up on a bed with ms. denmark on me. That's the only proof I have of that night and I'm never EVER going to lose them.
Money has been covered, so my collection of CD's and a cd player so I have tunes to listen to so I can stay chill.

Weiser: one item at a time. So choose between the polaroids or the cd player and the cds.
My (removable) harddisk or a cd / dvd with all my documents.

Bedtime Bear and Emily (kids' night time snugglies). No sleep would be had without them. With them, I can settle them anywhere.

Forget about the beer then! No need to get a beer belly in the event of a disaster.

the beer belly will allow you to survive off of the fat without food for awhile. The beer diet does work, simply replace a meal with a can or two of beer, provides carbs and only a few hundred calories.
