I've moved in ...
finally !!
It was strange at first, I'm living in my new appartment since 2 Mondays ago - when I actually moved in and bought my bed. On Thursday I had everything on place. Last Monday I bought my table, and the chairs and a small piece of furniture.
I'm dead meat. I've finished buying a big part of the things I need, like plates, napkins, kitchen equipment, bathroom cleaning products...
I'm almost 800 E poorer .
And I haven't even started thinking about decorating it. It's taugh being on your own. I think that these times it's family's help that you need most. I'm trying to be strong, but have panicked a lot last week.

You should register at International-Gathering.lifesupporters.net and discuss decorating ideas.

You'll love it once you get used to it, being on your own, no one to cater to, just yourself, doing what you want to do

It's my third year out of my country and the eight since I left home and I still miss my dog . Not that missing a dog could ever compare to missing your kid, Duke .
It's like.... I'm all grown up now, I'm not a student anymore and I kinda miss that freedom and state of mind. I look at nice, young, tall, good looking students in the subway or on the bus and I'm thinking: "Jeesh, am I too old for them already?".
One thing is clear, I will not grow old alone. That's why in the next 3 years time, I intend to buy me a Golden Retriever .

I imagine within the next 3 years....you'll have more than a dog to keep you company. You'll meet someone wonderful! But...if you feel like you are 'too old' now....just wait.
Decorating will be fun! Do you have anything in mind yet or certain colors?

I sure do !!!
I have a wodden floor and white walls. But... The appartment has a yellow stripe just above the wodden floor, which I do NOT like. And ... I do not have holes in the walls - for a curtain. Just a thing that prevents the sun from entering - a....
I'd looove to decorate it the Japanese style. You know, a small dark table, I alreay have a bonzai, Japanese lamps and decorations - but... I don't want my room to look like a restaurant, LOL. that's why I hesitate.
Either that, or something simple, straight lines - I hate heavy decorations. But I want a warm atmoshpere, so I'm thinking warm shades - like orange and rosebud brown... Do you have any suggestions or links to send me?

It sounds WONDERFUL! There is a show on HGTV (probably don't get it there, but they have a big website) that has people pick a picture of any room they love. Then the decorators recreate the room they picked real cheap by finding thrift items, painting furniture, and all sorts of things like that. You could do the same thing if you wanted a sort of Asian Zen feeling.
http://www.asiannouveau.com/index.ph...bd42b4a0d4c974 this site has more modern Asian ideas
http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/pac_ctnt_94..._31052,00.html This is the BEST SITE ever! You'll find any info you want on here and how to create what you want at a cheap price.

I'm never 'not nice' to anyone!!! I wouldn't care if YOUR house was a mess....I just don't like MY house is a mess!

These room designs don't look like a resturaunt at all. They are real nice. I'm not partial to Asian (I LOVE old world Spanish style myself), but I think you could do something real nice without a lot of cost.

That's GREAT news, twinkle. I'm so happy for you!
Let me know if I can do anything to help. I'm not too hot on practicalities but I know people who are.
