THIS IS IMPORTANT
When I was online here this morning.....I made quite a few posts, as well as started about 5 new ones in various forum areas. I also cleaned out my PM's since they were getting high in count.
NONE of the posts are on here tonight and all the mail in still in my box! The new threads were a couple in Off Topic, a couple in Inner Me and someplace else. AARRGG!
I did get a fatal message error this morning....but kept going past it. Duke or Paul...could you check if anything happened on here around 9-10 AM today? GAWD....I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone!!!
It seems when I was logging off....Star had just logged on...maybe she can remember anything odd happening. I don't think any other members were online when I was here.

Canaca.com had their not-so-trained monkeys messing with the server again this morning. I expressly asked them to make a back up since I had no access to do so myself. So what do they do, screw around, not backup before doing so and now we've lost two members and a few hundred posts. What a bunch of knuckle dragging idiots.

I think he's referring to the last time, when we lost someone as well.

I actually thought we lost Moose as well but I was wrong. The last time around we did lose two members so now we're at a total of three misplaced members and unknown amounts of content. The thing that also really pisses me off is that this really affects my page views and stats with alexa.com. Thanks to Canaca screwing up the db's, I've lost around 10 days or a minimum of 15,000 page views which is good for knocking me down anywhere from 400,000 to one million sites according to alexa's traffic meter.

I thought I was seeing things last night when I came in and topics and posts were missing. I get the e-mails to let me know when there are new posts to a topic that I've responded to and every one of those that I clicked on said topic not found.
Canaca is deffinately a loser company that don't care about their customers at all. The sooner you find a new host, the better. I hope you can find one at a reasonable price with all the things you need.
I also got a lot of error messages and pages not found all day yesterday as well when i'd try to either reply to a post or come into lifesupporters.

I can't apologize enough about how things have been going. Canaca has me at my wits end as well and I'm hoping to find, at least, a good interim webhost over the next week or so. Then I have to battle those losers to get as much of my money back as possible. They've definately done way more harm than good as far as I'm concerned and I'll smear their name at every forum I member at which includes 4 webmaster forums.

Sorry Paul....I didn't see the other thread on the subject. I was so flabbergasted....I couldn't think. I know we all work hard on keeping this forum growing and stuff like this is just so annoying. I'm sure Duke is the one who is the most p*ssed off.
I guess the important part is that when a new person joins, we immediately make sure we have a good email for them....so we can contact them incase of a glitch.

I do have e-mail addresses for all of you on the database but none saved to my local machine. I fell a little funny contacting members via e-mail that I've had little or no communication with. It almost seems like an invasion of privacy to me.
