How far away from where you grew up do you live?
Do you live in the same town, state/province that you grew up in?
Did you go away for college and not go back?

I've been all over the place. Grew up in Nelson BC, went to the army in Trail then spent time in Waynrite Alberta and Chilliwack BC for army, then back to Nelson, then to Trail and Castlegar for work and college, then back to Nelson, then to Burnaby, New West, North Vancouver and finally settled back down in New West.
To answer your original question I'm about 650 km or 7 hours from where I was born.

I was born while my Dad was in the Army in Germany.....but I only live 2.5 hours from where I grew up and where most of my family lives. I lived further away once while living in Oklahoma, and short stays in LA and Vegas....but overall....I've never gotten too far from home.
There is a lot to be said for staying close up....there is also a time when you have to follow your own path and move on.

I was born in a hospital 9 miles (15 km) from my parental home (at that time). Lived there for 18 years. For university I moved about 50 miles (80km). That is where I still live.
so for me the answer is about 50 miles. Hopefully in a few years, the number will be completely different. :hearts:

I live about 0 miles from where I was born. Actually from 3 on I grew up and went to school in Seattle which is about 200 miles from where I live now. Both sets of grandparents lived in the town I live in now so it has always felt like home. After I finished school I spent 4 years in San Diego (which is a perfect place for a young single guy) and then after that I spent 3 years in Germany in the Army. After I got out of the army I came back here. I love it, everybody knows me where ever I go, it's like being famous, ha, ha...
