DA is still safe and sound having made it all the way across London and then across England to see my sister and I in Bristol. I was impressed! Our tube system is pretty daunting but apparently the NY subway is worse. We had a really nice time, DA was very easygoing and seemed to like going to new places, meeting new people and doing new things.
The only thing that seemed to freak him out was all the kissing. Lol! Do they not do this by way of greeting and departing in America? At least we're not as sloppy as the French, my friend went there recently to stay with friends and was told off for only kissing twice instead of the customary 4 times!
If all goes to plan I think DA will be going home on Weds, I'm sure he'll tell you all about it then.

I think its more of a European thing because if you go to kiss someone in America, they either shoot you or blast you with a face full of pepper spray.

Depends on whose doing the kissing. I wouldn't use a gun or pepper spray if someone greeted me with a kiss. I think I would like it. It beats the preverbial handshake. I also like hugging. I don't own a gun or pepper spray. I think more Americans should adopt this policy. Maybe there would be less violence. Just my two cents.
Sounds like DA is having fun. I wish I was with him.

mine and hubby's families have always done the kissy huggy thing when he greet and then again when we leave. it's done regularly in quebec too. a kiss on the side of each cheak at hello and goodbye.
i always felt kind of uncomfortable with it. i dread the kissy/huggy part of this retual or tradition or whatever it's called.

My cousins (female) do that here too (the older ones) I had no idea until I met them, then I was bombarded with kisses on the cheek. Freaked me out, I was like wtf?

HAve the best of times, DA and please excuse me for not replying to your PM earlier.
I'm working crazy hours here and trying to do my paper in between.
I hate everyone who's out there worrying about nothing !!!!

Never mind twinkle. We'll have fun some other time.
I know just how you feel. A week ago I did 31 hrs straight to get my assignments in and then (insanely) went out to celebrate rather than going to bed. I achieved nothing at work that week. I'm too old to manage without sleep
