yeah they have beer at mcdonalds which is pretty interesting. The next day was the one that all the drunkards were looking forward to, after a visit to the EU comision we went to a brewery for Duvel, which is a great belgian beer, watching how they make a high quality beer was interesting and at the end we all got to try 2 of their beers and they gave us tickets to redeem, so we got extra from the people that didnt like beer and we all got drunk off their 10% alcohol beer, then when we were going back on the bus we all slept and about 5 minutes before we got back we woke up and all had to pis$, so when we finally made it to the hotel we sprinted off the bus and the sober ones laughed at us. That night we went to sleep early because we had to get up at 5am to get the train to london.

The train ride was interesting because the train goes a lot faster then US trains. Other then that it wasnt anything special, even the Chunnel wasnt anything to special, i think im just used to trains. When we got to london we checked into the hotel and i had my own room, which made it harder to coordinate going out at first until i memorized everybody's room numbers. That afternoon after we got there we went to the European Business school for a few presentations that were long and we all wanted to go explore london, afterwards i went and emailed meanon then i went to bed because i knew that i had to get up early to go visit her the next day, at first i didnt think id get permission to skip a tour that morning, if that happened i wouldnt have made it out to see her.

I got up the next morning after sleeping the night before and not going out, i was up at 7am and figured out what train i needed to take, to get to the station i had to transfer 3 times on the tube. There happened to be two stations in Bristol, where i was meeting meanon and i chose the wrong one, which added to my journey because one train line was being worked on and i had to transfer and then take a bus for an hour. When i got to the station i called meanon and she told me i was at the wrong station so i had to get another train one stop to the other station which took about a half hour, and meanon thought she had scared me off,lol, so when i finally made it her and her sister came to pick me up at the station, and the unexpected kiss greeting. After that we went to a pub where i had some english beer and a traditional english breakfast, which was good, after that we went to an gallery and saw this exhibit on wildlife photography. After that we went to this place for Tea and i tried english tea(a few days later i bought my mom some tea packets of the same type.) Here meanon's sister gave me a list of places to go, though i only had time to go to one of them. Then we had to go back to the train station so that meanon could go home and i could get back to london, her train was 45 mins b4 mine so i had another beer and thought about how great the day was, both meanon and her sister are really great people. This time i got a train directly back which made it a lot easier and i slept most of the way back. Then on the tube back to my hotel there was some disturbance and so the police had shut down the line for 45 mins and i had to wait to get back, but the timing was perfect and i was getting back just when my friends were getting ready to leave, so i changed then we all went to Camden town, which is this party district. We found this huge pub called "The world's end" and it had 3 floors and was huge, so we had a beer there then went to look for another bar, stopped at mcdonalds to eat, then my friends wanted weed so they asked the manager at mcdonalds and he sold them some and by that time the bars were closed and the underground was too so we took the bus back.

ok another break, just 3 nights left to talk about though.

Sunday was our free day and me and two of the guys walked around then we ate lunch and went back bought some beer and started drinking. After everybody else got back we left and went back to the worlds end but brought a few more of the girls from our group with us. We had a business card of this one girl in our class that we dont like and we wrote call this number for...well i cant actually put what we said, and then we taped it to the bar.


Well the next day was easier as the three presentations that we had were given in the hotel conference room, these were ok, one of the women looked like twinkle(i think, i can only sorta remeber what twinkle looks like) then after what seemed like forever we were done. Then me and 11 others from our group went to this moroccan place that was really expesnive, 144 pounds was the bill. After that we were gonna go to this one bar, but a bunch wanted to go back first so me and two of the couples that had formed went to this other bar where i felt out of place being single, though one guy offered me his girl, and he was serious and she was willing, but i was like you have been together 3 years im not gonna do it. After that we found the rest of our group and we went to the casino where i played a weird poker game against the house and after being down 35 pounds hit a streak and won 80 pounds. Then we left and went to bed.

The next day our first meeting was cancelled so we went to the british muesem that was a few blocks from our hotel, it was interesting, but after i lost my friends i hung out with this girl from our class and we were flirting and stuff, like she sat in my lap on the bench when we were taking a break, i just never got a good chance to spend enough time with her for anything more to happen. She isnt the brighest person though, she asked me if Islam was a country, and she was serious. We then had another business visit, then lunch where i did some shopping then had a beer and soup for lunch then got another beer with my friends, then we went to another presentation drunk. Then we had a short break then we went to a farewell dinner with free wine where i got drunk. Then our professor came to the bar with us whhere i drank more then that bar closed and we went to another where the bouncer didnt want to let me in cause i was too drunk, but we convinced him to. M prof thought i was really drunk, but i wasnt that bad, though i did dance a olt in that bar and proved that i was the only guy who could grind all the way to the floor. After that we left and went back and had to get up the next day to leave. I was the first one up the next day and ready to go, to prove that i wasnt that bad off the night before. Then we visited the Fedex facility then went to the airport. Flying back was uneventful and i stayed with a guy from my class.

Overall i had fun, but had lonely depressed moments. That was the short version of my trip, i could prolly write 3 times as much if i went into more detail. Now i am home and bored, my parents were not happy with me saying i go drunk when my brother asked, i think i should be honest, they think i should be a role model. they said that now im done with school it should be out of my system, i am not looking forward to telling them that i need to go out and im not gonna sit around here doing nothing by myself everyday, so that i dont give a positive message about drinking. Anyway, ask any questions that you need to clear anything up.

Hi DA! I'm glad your trip home went well. Your account of your trip was MOST entertaining!!!! I'm impressed you could grind all the way to the floor. LOL! £144 for 11 people is very cheap for England. £20 a head is common for a decent meal, nothing special. In London £30 easily.

unless you are at a very settled place in your life (unlikely in youth and not always guaranteed indefinitely for the rest of us, either) then this is life. The trick is to enjoy the fun to the max., be sure the lonely moments will pass and do something practical to distract yourself from them (like calling a friend, even if you don't feel like it).

It was really nice meeting you at last, DA. I hope you come back again soon. I'm not sure what to advise you about your parents. You're an adult and you should have some freedoms at home, so it's worth a try negotiating a little space. On the other hand, they are very unlikely to change so maybe it's best to just keep the peace, get the money you need to make a start somewhere you want to live and spend your energy on achieving what you want, rather than what you can't have (more tolerant parents). Just don't lose sight of your ambitions for yourself.

i want to go back as soon as i can, first i need a job then get out of home, my parents are driving me crazy already about work and i know the conversation that i need to have about drinking and going out isnt gonna be fun.
