Help Wanted..

This is not a rant but could have been a touch of annoyance if I didn't enjoy my Christmas shopping trip (everyone knows I'm not a shopper by now).

I went Christmas shopping on Saturday and bought gifts only to come home and realize I didn't have enough Wrap, scotch tape, gift boxes, bows, and labels for the presents. So back we went again yesterday to stock up on these things.

I found everything I needed except for the gift boxes. Up and down the Christmas aisle. Finally found an employee to help me who sent me into the Stationery aisle where I had looked for them already. So figuring she knew better, up and down the stationery aisle I go...no gift boxes. Again, trying to find another employee to help me, took more time. I couldn't believe that they were so scarce; it's Christmas, shouldn't they have more employees?

Finally, I found another one who sent me back to the Christmas aisle. I found a few boxes that were NOT in plain site and FINALLY was able to go to the cashier....which I may add only three out of the many were open! So a lady in line and I got to talking since we had a rather long wait about the state of affairs of the lack of employees....

Has anyone experienced anything like this yet this year?

We should go together then. Share a cup of coffee before we start. And procrastinate so much as a result, that we won't even hit the first shop .

Not yet. Lack of shopping. Praise whom- or whatever is responsible for that .

I have experienced it and it is always frustrating. It isn't only at Christmas although that is when the checkouts and isles seem to be packed the most. It is the same at the grocery store when shopping for Thanksgiving dinner items. I was there this past month for that reason and stood in the one line that was open for an eternity. By the time they opened up one more line I was just about to put my stuff on the conveyer and all the people behind me moved. Being in a small town makes it harder because there aren't that many shopping choices. You take what you can get sometimes.
