I haven't been to an Oyster bar but once when I went out to eat with my brother we had them as appetizers. I ate a couple and liked them. Now I am afraid to eat them because of all the crap in the oceans, etc.

I love sea food restaurants!! But I'd rather buy the oysers myself, LOL!!!
There's a chain specialized in sea food who has oysers as their speciality. It's called "Chez Clement". I cannot eat them without a sauce, though. My favourite is a mixture of shallot and vinegard. Hides a bit the scent, too.

my favs are king crab, lobster, scallops and shrimp. Now i want seafood! LOL!
we have a nice place where we can go and buy all seafood fresh or frozen and cook at home called the fine kettle of fish. that place is my favorite place to go! you can eat in as well if you want to.

I don't even know what an Oyster Bar is but I really have no desire to see a drunk Oyster either or an Oyster Fight in the alley behind the bar.

Nope. I am not too fond of seafood, to put it as mildly as possible. Plus, my diet does not allow for this type of food .

I am a vegetarian. Also means no sea food, at least in my book.
Sea food is very popular here, but I can't even handle the smell of fish.
Never had oysters before I became a vegetarian, to be honest, although I have had my share of fish before.

Dairy is allowed to vegetarians, although I am not too fond of that either. I detest cheese. I do consume a fair bit of yoghurt.
Dairy is not allowed to veganists. Who can only eat fruits, vegetables, seeds and such. It is a bit harder to accomplish, but if you are living in a big city, it is a lot easier, as you can buy your foodwares there, no matter what diet you are on. However, if you live in the countryside, it becomes a lot harder.
Vegetarians are a substantial minority in the Netherlands, and the numbers are increasing. Dutch food is not based for a very large part on meat and fish, unlike some other countries' food.

Fried oysters are my just about my favorite food in the world. I also like them steamed. Not too crazy about eating them raw because they are hard to chew. When I go to an oyster bar...I order them steamed.
Oysters are supposed to make you horny. So....I've spent a great deal of my date life with guys taking me to oyster bars for dinner. LOL!
