I personally think it's okay whenever you feel like it...who came up with the 5 o'clock rule anyway?...And why do so many people think it's true? We have our own minds when we want to drink...don't we?

I sure do. I DO however base it on my responsibilities that day or the next. But when I find I'm free from that...WATCH OUT....MOMMA is buying beer.

Um, I usually don't drink in the morning unless I have been up all night and am just continuing through. But it's always 5 o'clock somewhere

I don't know where you're from, but where I'm from 5' oclock is not an acceptable time to start drinking, I always wait till at least noon.

I meant 5 PM... Adonai. But...I'm thinking I like YOUR train of thinking better.
You know whats so bad...is people read this stuff and I get the nasty-grams telling me that I'm a drunk.....when the truth is...if I'm working or have family duites...I NEVER drink. I just don't have any of either TODAY.
:?

People actually send nasty grams? How rude!! I talk about Yuha and Carolans all the time and people are probably feeling sorry for Duke with every post of mine that mention liquor. I talk about it more than I drink, really! I've had nothing stronger than tea since I've been here...

Pff whatever. Who cares what they think? I've been called a drunk a few times too - but I get the last laugh when I'm still drinking and they are passed out Then the shaving cream and razors come out hehehe.

That's kinda my way of thinking too. Except instead of razors and shaving cream....I craftily look around to see if their hubby's are still sober enough to order/ pour more drinks.

Heh, you have the luxury of that. I just drink with cheap drunks now. It's rather sad when I can drink the same amount of them and still be sober to drive, and one is puking.

I agree. I HATE a sloppy drunk. If you can't run with the big dogs....stay on the porch.

That's exactly why I quit going out with female friends to bars. There was always one either puking, hungry or crying in the bathroom. That just drives me nuts.
Or the 'bar hopper'......that annoys me too. Once I'm in a place...I can make it work for me. I don't have to try out 5 bars in a night.

I'm a mild bar hopper. We'll goto the cheap chill places first, then hit up the dance bars later. I can't stay in a chill place all night - i need to dance.
