Great Homes Around the World
I happen to really love looking at houses around the world. Since I spend so much time doing it....I thought every now and then....I'd share one with you which was different or cool in some individual way.
This one is a restored Spanish home in Miami, Florida. Check out the wood, ceilings, fireplaces and tiles....it's FABULOUS! Okay....so it costs 6.5 MILLION....but still very cool!

On the left are panaramic views....on the right are still shots. I could live without the rugs they chose....but the rest is breath taking.
You may have to paste it into Google.

I like houses that are different or have some character. A lot of the new stuff they are building all looks the same.
Even for a whole lot less money....you can find some cool houses to buy.

I wan't to live in an old run-down warehouse on the top floor. Something with really high ceilings and massive windows, facing south preferably.

Ya I guess it can be called a loft, so long as it's spacious.

Like in the movie "Ghost"?
I'm enthralled with castles. I look at them online all the time. My husband and I are actually saving up some money so we can go to Bavaria and take like a 9 day guided tour of King Ludwig's castles. He's the dude who built the castle that Disney modeled the Cinderella castle after.

I love beautiful things. I have seen many houses that are like works of art. For me though, it isn't really the house, it's the view from the front porch. That can make or break a house for me.

Actually the movie that comes to mind when I think of living in a loft is the movie BIG with Tom Hanks.

Ayla.....my daughter and I go all over the net looking for castles which are for sale. They are SOOOO cool!
Most of the ones for sale though...would require too much money to redo plumbing, electric and GEEZ...can you imagine how much a re-roofing would cost? LOL! Also, in Europe with the property tax as it is....you would have to turn it in to a B&B just to afford it even if it were paid for.
Here's a MINI castle for sale in Pennsylvania:

Owning one would be so fun though. Decorating it....WOW!

I don't think I would like to live in Miami either. If I had THAT house though...I may be able to make it through the 'speaking spanish' ordeal down there.

That casle is nice and actually reasonably priced for what it is. i do this quite often. I used to buy mobil homes and rent them out, I used to look all over the country for them and dream about moving.
I have looked all over Right now my favorite is Tennessee, for what I can buy a home for here I can have a mansion there I love it, if I could I would pick up and move up in the mountians tomarrow, unfortunatly I wouldn't have much work.
