Any embarrassing fishing stories out there?
I have two...
When I first joined the "World of Trolling" I kept my line in the lake for two hours, never thinking I should check it once in a while...my idea is that if I got a hit, then I would reel in..Simple, huh? W-e-l-l...my husband wasn't getting any bites, so after two hours on the lake he told me to reel in and we would go back to camp...well, I reeled in and found an about five-six inch fish deader than ever with absolutely no fight in 'er, must have dragged her the whole time...my husband laughing his head off and telling me "you should reel in once in a while" --this vacation all I got is slimy green stuff after trolling the lake on two different fishing excursions.
Next one---years ago on my first fishing trip with my husband..he wouldn't put the worm on my hook and I Hate the slimy, slithery things...so I dumped the can of worms on the ground and tried to spear one with my hook...needless to say I wasn't thrown overboard by my husband (oh, well, worms weren't expensive in those days) and my husband quietly puts the worm on my hook nowadays!
Gone fishing...
