Wow, great post.
I'd wish to be super wealthy. I feel everything else is within reach in my life, with the exception of money. I could dump millions into charities, build some housing projects for the poor, etc.

I drank a whole cup of coffee thinking about this one!
I agree with Duke in that a huge amount of money would seem to be a good wish due to it enabling you to do so many things for the world, your friends, your family and yourself.
So...I'm prone to ask for the same wish......even though I'm not sure if it would do anything but put a bandaide on life's problems.
(My bandaide of a HUMMER and a big house on the beach though....would go a LONG way!!!) HAHA!

I also think that wishing for money is VERY appealing.....but I think that i would wish to be able to go back in time whenever i wanted....NOT to change the past but think of how many questions could be answered..like WHO built stone henge and how...what it was ACCTUALY like to live in the middle ages... that would be what my wish is.... :sun:

That would be cool too Isis. Stonehenge is a mystery to everyone, including modern science. About all they seem to know is that it was built in three stages and construction took place over a period of a thousand years I think. It was used for measuring some type of solar activity, likely the sun, according to modern science.
The pyramids would also be great to understand. Paleontology is also something I'd be fascinated in knowing more about.

Yeah...I'm gonna have to go with the money thing. I think the equivilent of Bill Gate's money would suffice. I'd set all my family up. Hell, I'd just go on and buy a whole neighborhood just for us! Actually, I'd prolly move the clan to the Smoky Mountains. That's a slice of heaven on earth right there.
After going crazy and spending ridiculous amounts of money on myself, my husband, and our families...I'd start helping out the poor. I'd go into rural areas where children are often overlooked or never even seen and really help out those families first. I'd set up a college fund for the kids of poor families who'd never otherwise go to college.
Then I'd set up some kind of organization to help out the elderly. It's a crying shame that so many of the old peeps in our country eat cat food every day, but we drop darn pop tarts from the sky in other countries. So anyway I would do something to ensure that old people never had to choose between medicine and food.

If I could have any wish it would be not to ever have another child suffer from a cronic illness, cancer, disease ect ever again... I have spent months in childrens hospitals and it is the saddest thing I think is on this earth I would give up every penny I could ever have to heal them and give them good homes.. you'd be suprised how many unfit parents find out their child is terminally ill because they decided to smoke crack or drink and leave their babies there to suffer without a mothers love. I wish I had the power to change it.

I know Duke isn't religious....but somehow this whole thread reminded me of the verse in the Bible which says "Blessed are the poor...". We may never be rich or be able to solve the hurts or unfairness of this world.....but AT LEAST we see it and care. SOOOO many don't seem to.
I can't imagine having millions and enjoying it without going into the nooks and crannies of this world and trying to fix stuff for those people. I guess being there close up......has made my heart more sensitive. And God was right....we ARE more blessed.
Not because we may be able to MAKE the difference.....but because we SEE the injustices, feel them in our heart and CARE!
Can you imagine being born rich and not even having a clue? Yeah....we are more blessed!

SO.....if we all dissed the money aspect and had a choice.....do you think going back in time, like Ises would, would somehow address the problems and mess our current lives are in?
