Chloe made State Choir this year!!! It not only took passing music composition.....but having an outstanding singing voice. She was the only one from the 150 who tried out from her high school alone. We will be going to Tampa, FL for the CD the state choir makes each year in January. She is VERY honored and excited. It's a rare event for a 10th grader. It will also build up her options of scholarships.
On the 16th she will be singing at the Epcot tree lighting ceremony at Disney World for the second year. I think the celebrity this year is Lou Diamond Phillips who is doing the narating. She so enjoyed Eartha Kitt last year and thought it wonderful to meet her.
If anyone is a singer here.....Chloe can hit a high D on cue....which is considered a very big deal. One of the judges said she had the prettiest voice he has ever heard. I am very proud of her. Not all girls love ladies chamber music, opera and can sing in various languages.
She is getting a video cam for Chistmas. I'll see if I can't post a portion of it online somewhere.
That is great news Merika. And a great achievement for Chloe. As you said, it will give her a lot of options in the future.
Hope she will enjoy the next few months, and the recording of the CD - and then onwards!

How wonderfully exciting, Merika!!! It sounds like Chloe has a great Career in store for her!! I would love to see you post it somewhere so I could see! Keep us posted with all this exciting wonder!!
Mericka, this may not be something you or she is interested in, but why doesn't she try out for American Idol? She's a beautiful girl and if she can sing that well she could have a career in it. If she would like to that is. I'm sure with a mom like you and the talent she has she can do anything she puts her mind to doing.

kassandra can sing. my brother's a drummer in a band (still waiting to make it big) and he loves kassandra's voice. tells me all the time to put her into singing lessons. She'll be taking drama next year in high school. she's got such a nice voice. i love to hear her sing.
i'd love to see the video.
