End of Procrastination
My greatest character flaw has always been procrastination. It drives me nuts and is really depressing. I made a deal with myself, last week, to never put off whatever I have on my list to do today. It's been AMAZING....my house is so clean, all my paperwork is filed properly and now I can do some extras. (This site being up and down has also helped....HAHAHA!)
How many projects do you have on a list somewhere which you've avoided and why do you avoid them?
Usually with me...I make them into something bigger than they really need to be. I've noticed, unless I'm on medication, that my low oxygen level can also play a major part in not getting stuff done.

I'm the Queen of procrastination. I've had the paint I need to prime and paint my kitchen cupboards now for months and I still haven't started it. It's always tomorrow. I'm NOT looking forward to emptying my cupboards and having all that mess in my dining room until my cupboards are done. But, I know i'll be very very happy when they are but i just can't seem to get off my butt and get the painting I need to do in here started! Maybe I should start today? don't feel like it though. LOL!
My whole house needs to be painted so I can put some nice color in here. the way it is now it depresses me. all that grey! BLAH!!
spring cleaning is my to procrastination. anything else i'm really good at getting done quickly.

The 'extra stuff' I was talking about included painting. The only thing which ever keeps me from painting is the money it costs to do it. I check out Home Depot for 'oops' paint ($5 a gallon) and can usually find something close enough or I mix my own to get a cool color I like. I LOVE to paint! I wish I lived close to you Star....I'd be there in a minute to help you out! I could paint all day.....every day....and never get tired of it.
If people were willing to hire a woman painter....I'd have gone into business a long time ago. I'm fast and very good....I just love doing it.
HAHA...as DA would say...that last sentence just sounded WRONG!)

Yes I put things off too, indefinitely sometimes. My list is depressingly long and dull with some major stuff on it but by far the most pressing is applying for the MSc. The guaranteed interview date I was offered has come and gone. I didn't feel up to persuading people I was emotionally stable enough to provide a sound therapeutic relationship. I had my doubts myself. Now things have settled a little, I have great referees lined up and am ready to apply for the next intake. The competition gets more tight the later I leave it and most applicants are very experienced counsellors already.
Merika I think you were doing quite enough already on oxygen levels that low. Glad you're feeling beter

The reason I procrastinate is because my concentration is broken by daydreams of Stone.
