Dumb, Stupid or Hurtful Posts
Have you ever made any 'stupid posts' that you're embarrassed about, or hurt someone when you didn't mean it that way?
I made a lot of dumb posts in my time here but the one yesterday took the cake. When Faye was 'looking for Hannah' I thought she meant Hannah Montana!  To take something so serious as what Faye was talking about and not connecting it at all! Faye was very generous with her response; thank you, Faye!

I thought the hurricane was named Hanna, so I had no clue what she was on about at first.

Nothing to be upset about Luba. She misspelled the name and you don't live over this way. I wouldn't expect you to know about the hurricanes and tropical storms around here. It was an honest mistake and I think Faye knows it. We all do and say things we later regret. No harm, no foul!! Hugs to you Luba.

I find the quicker I respond to something the more I screw it up. I think this is the reason I try to consider any sensitive topics much longer prior to posting because I always seem to leave a lot of room for misrepresenting my actual POV.

I also have done this in the past, when you think you are being funny the others can think you are nutz.
