Do you cook and why do you enjoy cooking?
I enjoy cooking because I like food. I enjoy tastes, I like flavours and these days, I even am opened to trying new receipts.
I adore cooking for other people (I only cook for people I love) because I feel like I'm really taking care of them.
However, there's always a favourite part when cooking a special receipe. When I'm making pancakes with ragu and sour cream, I love eating the first pancake - it's so soft and warm and puffy... tonight, the main reason for cooking fish was the rest of the 33 cl of wine I had after using a glass for the sauce !
I haven't been drinking alone in a while, but I swear, I am having a good time, even though I'm posting when I should be sleeping - I've got a damn killer week at work, that's for sure! Oh, who cares, that's tomorrow!
so what's your ulteriour reason behind cooking?

I hate cooking unless it's on the bbq. I'll only cook if I have to, the rest of the time I'd rather go hungry. :?

I don't mind making sandwiches though, less work and less cleanup.

I love to eat, hate to cook (I only make two good dishes, the rest are passable), but the positive thing is when I went to work my husband slowly took over, found out he Loved it, and now does all the cooking, the grocery shopping, too. It's even his kitchen now, and a place for everything! When I cook on the Saturday I'm off and he works, he hates the idea that I'm in his kitchen and he can never find anything in the place he put it, I'm just bad for that!

It's so weird, my dad loves cooking too. I dare say that he cooks more often than my mom does.
And the only time my mother volontarily does cook, is to make chicken legs for our dog - roasted at the oven - I guess I've told you the story times before: our dog is spoiled rotten and now we're stuck.
Mom doesn't enjoy cooking too much, it' so funny to see her all rushing in the kitchen knowing exactly whom she's cookig for .

I hate cooking. I used to like it before I had kids and had to cook 3 times a day every day! It's a chore now. hate it.

I kind of enjoy it if it's a special occasion and I have company coming. Other than that though...I DON'T like it at all! I don't like messing up my kitchen when we could simply go out and eat if we want something different.

I'm so not used to take out food. As I grew up we didn't have any type of it, so I guess that plays a big role in it.
We're very traditional from this pov, family=cooked mean=dinner in the family, all together and not in front of the TV.
It did became harder and harder to stick to it as we grew up, but now, since we see each other so little, it's a kind of rule. Except for when my mom is too tired and takes her plate directely to bed - a real bad habit she took these last few years.

I have a big beautiful dining room table. do we use it? not a whole lot! Only when we have company on a special occasion. we eat in the living room, sitting on the couch with our plates on the coffee table. Half the time gerry isn't home for dinner anyhow so he ends up eating alone in the living room.
When the kids were young, we ate sitting at the table but as they got older, things changed. i didn't even notice the change to tell you the truth! LOL!

Now Jackson will actually get excited if I say we are going to eat at the dinner table....he thinks that's real nice. I've tried to do it more often since he admitted he liked it .....but usually we end up watching tv while we eat.
