Dieting
I wanted to congratulate Isis, who will probably be reading this later tonight, for doing so well on her diet. She has lost 14 pounds thus far! arty:
Does anyone have any good diet tips?
I endorse exercise and a lots of water.

right now i need to lose some weight. since i stopped working, i've gained 15 pounds. I eat out of boredom. sitting at home (because i hybernate in the winter...hate snow) bored to death so i eat.
I want to lose those 15 pounds by easter. the way i usually do it is by begining to shrink my stomach. I'll eat a small breakfast and a small dinner and that's it. the first 10 pounds come off quick cause it's all water. I do drink a lot of water too when i do this. i'll do that until i've reached my goal. I can maintain it pretty good when it's not winter or if i'm working.
Congrats isis!!!! that's awesome!

I gained a lot of weight due to being on steriods and not being physically active. Now, we are on a 'family diet'. This time though, Isis really applied herself and finally saw a return on her efforts. I think the hardest thing in the world is to stay on a diet.
Our main thing was cutting out all soft drinks and chips/dips. That was a real weakness around here.

i cut the pop out a long time ago. chips i hardly eat anymore. i don't buy any dip cause if i do, i pig right out, can't stop eating that stuff!
I eat a lot of sunflower seeds (helps with the smoking less too) which is full of salt. and we do like to eat grease (fries, fried everything). I'm not very active these days either so sitting on my bum bum isn't helping anything.
i figure when the nice weather starts up, i'll be more active by taking erika out for walks everyday int he buggy. i used to do that with my girls when they were babies everyday (except if it was raining) and i was slim. can't wait for spring to get here! I feel couped up.

Ahhh...I'm sorry my Canadian Tundra Friend! I'm sitting under a fan, with the windows open for a lovely day of about 70 degrees. The kids are in shorts. LOL!

I even have azaleas blooming in my yard. We've had a very mild winter this year.
I think for hurricane purposes that's not a good thing....but for now...all is well.

For me all I do is eat way more (especially in the morning) and eat less as the day progresses and end up having a small dinner. Strenuous exercises actually ruins my appetite so if I work out really hard then I can't eat anything at all.

Let's swap - it snowed here today.
Tell Isis I'm impressed. The best way to keep fit is to find an exercise you really enjoy. Much more fun than the gym.

I've struggled with weight the last 4 years Deiting is a lifestyle. Make sure that she uses ALOT of lotion or body oil after the shower and before bed it will decrease streach marks.
Diet tips:
No salt
ATLEAST 8-10 glasses of water a day, yes water sucks crystal light has like 3 calories pre glass
Drink a glass of water BEFORE a meal so you don't over indulge.
It should take about 30 minutes to eat a meal.
Counting calories vs burning calories is the best way to go look at Fitlinx.com it has a FREE personal journal.
Weight Wachers is and has been proven the best diet over years and years. Stay away from fad diets they will skrew with your matabolisim.
Make excersize fun and energizing and a daily activity..
Try not to eat alot of salt. and stay away from Soda most soda's have atleast 80 calories a glass. That's a 15 minute jog you have to do to burn that crap off it isn't worth it.

I burn a lot because I'm pretty fair skinned. It used to be a lot better when I was going to the tanning salon but now that it's been linked to cancer I haven't been since.
