Default Dark cloud

around Twinkle's head...

As you've probably noticed, I'm a tad under pressure as it's the most stressing period of my internship. Well... last weekend I have invited friends over to my new appartment and while shopping (groceries and stuff) my wallet got stolen - I had 45 euros in cash.

It's the first time it happened to me since I'm France. "Fortunately" for me, I had previously misplaced my Visa card. So I have to redo my driving licence, my Romanian cards, my medical ensurance card ...

Yesterday I bought my monthly public transportation card - 51 euros... to discover this morning that... I don't have it anymore. So this morning I bought a new one...

I am soooo absent minded at times, I just want to kick myself !!!

That really sucks twinkle .

A stolen wallet can happen to everyone, but it is so frustrating. As you will have to spend a lot of time to retain the cards, the insurance, etc. that were in there.

I know stress is great, which does not help at all.
But curious: would you not keep your transportation card in your wallet, or in a purse or something, so that you would always have it with you? It is hard to remember where we keep things. But if you keep a lot of things in the same place all the time, it becomes very easy. Or may you have forgotten to put the card back in its place, after use?

That's exactly why I think I've lost it. Last time I used it was last night, when I got home. So I've searched most places, like pockets and purses and jacket... I think I'll go banana if I find it when I get back home.

Oh, well...

Thanks a lot for listening, V.

I'm so sorry, Twinkle...it's a hassle to replace all those important things...as if you don't have enough going on right now..

I used to be real bad about losing stuff like that too. I lost my parent's house key so many times.....they won't even give me another one NOW! The only way to stop it is to FOCUS on it. Never put any cards, wallet, or your purse down without making a mental note where you are putting it. Wear a certain bracelet or ring for a week that will remind you everytime you look at it to check if you put your important things where they are supposed to be. After a week....you'll have the habit.
