Daily Journal or Diary?

I had a friend once who kept a daily jounal...well...really more of a memo pad where she wrote down anything that happened that day such as bills paid, purchases made, ilnesses, family info, job related conversations and events. This is a great idea because there always comes a time when you wish you had a reference as to a particular day something happened in your life.

Mine is a hit and miss and to be honest...it were the misses that could've potentially warded off health problems later. Do you keep any sort of a daily diary or journal?

I journal most every day and I find it very intuitive to why I feel a certain way over any small or large event in my life...and am able to work it most of the time; it really helps to see it in print...

Sometimes I'll be trying to solve something and find myself writing about something else entirely...that happens quite often...

My journal is very personal consisting of three notebook pages a day

No, but I should. My country is run by professional screw ups :?. Whether you are talking about government, schools, or hospitals, it makes often no difference.

I should have been keeping a reflective learning journal since day 1 of my corse back in Sept. now it is May, the damned thing is due in along with all sorts of other things I haven't done and now I have to manufacture it from scratch :? I've never written fiction before, I'll let you know how it goes.

I get my clients to fill in journals some times. It helps them gain some perspective because one of the things with depression is that you have a sort of negative filter where you just don't notice the good things that happen so it's a way of getting them to do that.

That's OK there are some really weird people on my course. My (our!) journal wouldn't stand out at all.

"Today I drank some free beer, during a military parade in Florida."

Next day: "I am so friggin' frustrated by the fact that my girlfriend needs to slaughter a tree to please authorities."

Next day: "My bum was itchy."

After that: "My parents in Romania drive me insane."

"I finally got the paper from school, stating I have finished high school this year. Luckily it does not matter much, as I am already hired for a job. Looking forward to that."

It seems that Duke would probably be your best stand-in

, although I doubt that anyone wants to read about an itchy bum.

I was referring more to a daily record of events like what bills were paid, illness', anything out of the ordinary that took place...all for future reference if needed.
