Guess your ice tundra country doesn't count.

Nice to see the "everything costs just over twice as much" rule applying to petrol prices too!

it's about the same here. isn't that just retarded prices? I won't need gas for a couple days. hopefully the price will fall a bit. it's rediculous!!

It's really a shame since Canada has GOBS of oil. It would cost a little extra to refine it since it's the sour gas type...but GEEZ...it sure would make everyone's life there a little easier. |

The sick part is that we're now at 99.9 per litre and all flocking to the pumps because we actually think it's a deal. What a joke, gas prices really suck, especially if you refuse to drive a compact car.

As long as people are still pretty much driving wherever they want to, taking vacations, going across town to shop and working without car pooling...then it's a sign that all is still well and people are able to afford the gas prices available to them. The only way government has to respond to that is to raise the price until people conserve on their own...regardless of what they drive. Granted, people with SUVs, trucks and other large vehicles will probably feel the crunch first....but usually...they are also the ones with more income.
