You are so lucky to have a beautiful granddaughter you have every right to be excited, I'm even excited for you. I hope I live to see my grandchild, cause if my son waits till he's 40 like I did, I'll never make it.

Another reason to keep well in shape, Adonai. Improve your odds. And look on the bright side: you are not looked as the cheap alternative to a baby-sitter by your own son.

My maternal grandmother lived to see her first great granddaughter - and about 5 months later she died of cancer (official cause could be different, but that is what led to her death).

oh luba!! I'm soooooo happy for you!!!! I know you'll have a great time and spoil that little girl to death!

since i'm such a young gramma myself, i'm sure i'll see my great grandchildren. when erika is 25, I'll only be 64. I could live long enough to see my great-great grandchildren!! wouldn't that be something?

up until the year 2000 (I think?) we had 4 generations in our family on my mother's side. My gramma, my mother, me and my 2 kids. if she would've hung on just a little longer, she would've seen Erika. I wish we would've taken a picture of all 4 generations but we kept putting it off. My mother does however have a picture of my grandmother holding kassandra when she was a baby.

Thank you for your kind words, you wonderful people!!! I couldn't ask for a greater gift than a granddaughter wanting to come and visit...no money in the world could be better than that!!!! I just love both my beautiful granddaughters so000000000000000000 much!!!
