Christmas shopping

I started christmas shopping today! I swore that i would start early and i actually did it. I have 18 nieces and nephews to buy for, my parents, my parents in-laws, my kids and gerry. too many to wait till the last minute.

I found this awesome place called liquidation world and got some awesome toys for my younger nieces and nephews for really cheap. good toys too! that'll be the place i look first this year.

when do you all start your shopping usually?

I don't celebrate Christmas with presents. Weird American tradition to do so,

I know. I meant the continent, and not the US.

Over here we have a tradition of "Sinterklaas" (Saint Nicholas), which is basically a kid's festivity, based on a religious leader of earlier times. It is celbrated in family settings, and the big day is December 5th.
A part of the ritual is that small children are taught that "Sinterklaas" is real, just like small children in America must believe similar things about Santa Claus.

Over here, it is about 50 / 50 in terms of money spent on presents for Sinterklaas, and Christmas gifts.
