We have a family in here who just hung these long strands of lights down off this huge oak tree like giant icicles. They sway around in the breeze and look awesome! I am SO jealous!
These people are in the tree business and had the machinery for getting them up there in the first place.
'in here' = my southern hick way of saying 'in our neighborhood'.
After I first read it....I decided to leave it that way since it sounded so stupid.
We have a number of neighborhoods around here that compete against one another. It's cool to walk down a street that's lit up like Las Vegas but much more festive. I'm sure their utilities must be much higher but fortunately in this day and age, decorations are using far less energy than they did even 10 years ago.
