Default Child Model

My mother has been aproched twice about Noah being a model. I remember these scams when I was young and I usually just blow them off. but recently a few people also suggested that he models and I have been thinking about it recently.

Would you have your child Model if the opportunity was available. I usually do anything that will encourage self confidence with him BUT he is a boy and I kind of think the whole thing is silly Plus his bio father modeled for JC Penny's & Dillards he is so arragont & stuck on himself I NEVER want Noah to turn out like that

A lot of people do. I think it's a personal choice to be honest. I wouldn't put my child into modelling because I want them to have a normal childhood. Some people feel differently about the whole thing.

I think as long as you don't turn into something that you want (your dream), keep it a fun activity for him, then it's okay. If he doesn't want to then I wouldn't force him into it.

I'd ask him to see what he thinks about it.

yeah i would ask him how he feels about it. As for being arrogant, that shouldnt happen if you raise him right.

My daughter does it but she's ugly so she doens't get a lot of calls :?

JK Paris, it's what's inside that counts anyway

Making him model doesn't make him arrogant, bad parenting does. Maybe be pro-active and call a few reputable modelling agencies and see if their interested in him.

Every now and then I've read an article on kid models and it seems as though they really enjoy it. I would think kids who didn't enjoy it....end up quitting early....and those who stay in the business have fun with it. It depends on the kid.

I was on the teen board of a huge department store at the Mall when I was in Jr/Sr High (I graduated before they started the middle school thing.) I thought it was great fun....but I was never interested in it as a career as some of the other girls were.

I fuigured any money he could make could go to a college fund.. I don't see him doing it when he is older, he's a sports nut. I'm going to send some pics to an agency and see if we get any calls.

My daughters younger brother has been in a Playschool product commercial and made close to $3000.00 CDN for it. He's also gotten a callback for another commercial, not sure what that one's about.

Depending on what they do, they not only get paid for it but also get bought out for future royalties. The best part is that the money is automatically put toward your childs future so it's a great way to invest. There really is no downside at all to doing this, just be prepared to do a lot of waiting because nothing ever happens quickly except once they've made up their minds on who they want.
