Default Change....as in cash

What do you do with the change that accumulates in your pockets, wallet, house, drawers, floor, and all the other places where you find pennies, nickels, and dimes (or whatever your currency is)?

Do you try to use it for odd change on a purchase or do you keep it in a jar or do you end up throwing out the small stuff?

My son collects it in his backpack full of money. Last time he checked, he had over $140.

I've got a coffee machine at work so there goes all my spare change - I either take cappuccinno, or tea or coffee.

I have change lying around everywhere. It's easy when your Canadian because our $1 and $2 are now coins instead of bills.

I have an big water jug that I usually throw all my change in. I do have all the new state quarters, some half dollars, susan b anthony gold dollars, silver mercury dimes and old pennies in a different piggy bank.

He's just a little kid. If you took out $100 and left him $40....bet he would never notice!

I KEEP MINE IN AN OLD FLOWER VASE AND ONCE A MONTH I TAKE IT TO MY LOCAL KROGER STORE AND CASH IT IT. THEY CHARGE 9 CENTS PER DOLLAR TO DO IT BUT OTHERWISE IT'D JUST LAY AROUND. I USUALLY CASH IN LIKE 40-50 DOLLARS A MONTH IN JUST CHANGE!

I do it the same way Ayla. Rolling it is a pain in the butt. I'll happily pay the extra percentage to have it counted in one of those change machines at the grocery store.

As BA said, it comes in quite handy when you are between paychecks and need some extra cash. Our change has saved us more than once.
