Brooke Shields vs. Tom Cruise on Post-Partum Depression

So what do you all think about the heated debate between the above subject?
I have only heard bits and pieces of this, and that their friendship now is strained now that Tom has told Brooke that she should be taking vitamins for her problem instead of the medication she was on.

What I understand about it all is that Brooke Shields had written a book, and in it (I haven't read it) she is supposed to have written that she took medication for her severe Post-Partum depression.
Then I understand that on the "Oprah" show Tom stated that she should have taken vitamins instead; I'm not sure about all the facts. Anyway, I understand they were friends before but I guess now they are "biting" at each other through the media.
If anyone knows more than I do about it, please steer me in with the total facts...

if they're making a huge deal over brooke being on meds and tom thinking she should've taken vitamins instead, then I think tom should keep his nose in his own business. Why would something so stupid cause such a big media fight between them? how childish can they be? :?

Star, I just went on the Internet and posted subject "Tom Cruise/ Brooke Shields and there is like about 175 entries and about 20 pages filled with web spots about this one thing...I couldn't believe it!! I guess I'm so new to all this that I can't believe there is So much information about this subject. If I had time I would read some of it, but it's so overwhelming.. :roll:

i know what you mean. I'd fall asleep on my chair if I read tht much on my screen. LOL! reading puts me to sleep which is the reason why i don't read a whole lot.

Thanks, Star, that link was very good and explained totally about what happened. I thought it was on "Oprah" is where he talked about it, but the article said "Access Hollywood". It was on "Oprah" that apparently he was jumping up and down on her couch, I think he was talking about his new love, Katie Holmes. All this is hearsay on my part, because I didn't see that "Oprah" show, either.
I wouldn't be surprised that there is a whole lot of information on the Net about that, too, I just might look it up and have a laugh, hopefully it won't be a lot of pages and articles like this one, but I wouldn't be at all surprised!

Star, just put "Tom Cruise/Oprah show" on the net and clicked on "Gorilla Mask net: Dane Cook impersonating Tom Cruise and then saw his "excitment" of jumping on the couch, kneeling a lot to Oprah, grabbing her, and just being hysterically happy! It showed all those excerpts, showed a different "insanely in love" Tom Cruise. I'm not being judgmental about him being in love, it just shows a totally different side of the reserved one I've always seen.
If you get to see it, I'd like to know what you think, and are you a Tom Cruise fan? I admit I'm disappointed how he's "putting down" Brooke Shields, it must have been extremely hard for her to go public with the hell she went through with the Post Partum depression.

I was a huge fan of tom cruise...what woman wasn't actually, he is hot! 8) LOL!

but, since he divorced nicole kidman and for the idiotic reasons i read about, and dating katie (someone more then 1/2 his age) now this brooke shields thing, i'm not as crazy about him as i used to be.

I also saw him being really ignorant with a photographer on a runway. I thought he seemed a little arrogant (SP?) to say the least. I think he's going through some kind of midlife crisis or something.

I watched all those links, thanks Star, and they are pretty funny! I feel the same way about him as you do, he lost his appeal with me when he divorced Nicole Kidman for Penelope Cruz? who's with Matthew McCon... something.(can't spell his name though he's kind of cute) or is she still with him?
Boy, this "Off topic" is great for me because I tend to go rambling somewhere else

he broke nicole's heart when he left her. I don't know who peneloppe cruiz is with now. I think he being with katie holmes is absolutely rediculous.

after watching those video clips and doing mroe reading (transcripts) about his interviews, I ended up being embarassed for him!

I also did a little reading on scientology. it is considered a cult from what i've read. that alone could explain his recent actions. he's been in that scientology for many many years. maybe all that brainwashing did a turn for the worse on his brain.

He is a celebrity. That alone does not give him any insight about health, let alone special relativity and quantum mechanics. What difference does it make to you, whom they date, whom they marry? Just ignore him, and other stars who say this or that. Life becomes easier then.
