Default Breakfast

Do you eat breakfast? How many times a week? What is your favorite?

Bacon and eggs on Sundays; the rest of the week either a piece of toast with jam or tomato, sometimes hot cereal; not really big on breakfast even though it's always advised to be the most important meal of the day...

I'm allergic to eggs....but I sure love bacon. It's my favorite. I cook breakfast for Jackson just about every morning and bacon is usually on the menu.

It is highly irregular for me to eat breakfast. Mostly because I stay up too late.

Still considering watching the Super Bowl ...

Ahhhh, Vautrin...go for it! Super Bowl is once a year, but you are so disciplined...you will make it up on your studies, that I know...

Vautrin....I was telling my kids in the car about you guys watching the Superbowl over there. They thought that was SO interesting!

Remember last year it was here in Jacksonville and Chloe was part of the 'crowd' singing around Paul McCartney. I didn't even watch it then...nor did she stay for the duration of the game. My son is real excited though.

American Football is not very popular in Europe. There is an European League, that consists of 6 or 7 teams. And the season is played when the American season is not running. But it barely gets attention, and it is an expensive sport. The money can only be earned back, if you have a huge merchandising department. Not so here.

All high school, college and professional football makes lots of money here. Superbowl tickets start at $8,000 per seat and the commercial spots are like $2.8 million per 30 seconds.

No European would pay that for the most important football (soccer) game. Those are insane amounts of money.

But I do know that American sport stars make more money than their European(based) counterparts. And that must be paid for, one way or the other.

Just do the math. Add the wages of the whole team up, and divide it by the number of games. That is the cost per game, and you should try to earn that back, by TV deals, sponsorship, and merchandising. Must be hard to do.

It wouldn't be hard to do if they weren't all overpaid. They also make money on commercials and later....sportcasters. They used to not make as much until they began wanting the percentage of the profits. That's when the big retarded bucks began to be paid. Baseball and basketball are the same way.

I'm not a football fan (nor a fan of ANY sport)...so I don't see the point. But sports is a big past time for most other people and I guess it has it's needed place in society.

It's a river of money and there's just no way to tell how much the NFL actually makes, same with Nascar, NHL, etc. It's funny but all the ticket revenues, consessions, etc., aren't even a fraction of what merchandising brings in.

I had no idea though that it was $8000.00 USD/seat for SuperBowl, Merika, are you sure of this?
